but lillard, kd, and kawhi need to just keep sitting at home? i realize it's just some d******es with a silly drawing, but their criteria aren't obvious at all.

I can see where its coming from with AD falling out hard of the top 15 this season from a peak as high as Number 2, two years earlier.

i can't. when AD played, he was still up there. kawhi didn't play. lillard wasn't playing well at all prior to his season-ending injury, and kd missed a ton of the year, too and ran out of gas in the playoffs.

it's just fashionable to bash AD, here and elsewhere.

Durability is part of the equation, so is the results. KD won't stay in the best in the game talk, without advancing in the playoffs. Dame has to both stay healthy and win too. Kawhi has to produce here soon as well. AD has missed a lot of games over the last two seasons. He needs to have a strong bounce back season this year or he deserves to be out of the discussion. Lebron, Steph and CP3...those guys are getting old by NBA standards. 2022 is going to be a maintain your reputation or take a step back season for more than a few guys IMO.

Agreed, the young stars have put on quite a show this year: Giannis, Joker, Ja, Luka, Booker, Tatum and Brown. Granted CP3 had that crazy 100% 14 for 14 shooting night and Lebron continues to beat Father Time averaging 30 points a game this season at 38. But the youngsters have begun to take over. AD is still young too at under 30 but he needs to reassert himself and of course that means staying healthy.

again, sure, health matters. so why aren't kd, kawhi, and lillard dinged? their stature is intact for some reason.

anyway, if AD is healthy, he belongs in that top group.

Anthony is due to catch a break on the injury front. I hope he has at least the next three seasons injury free. We will get at least 1 more ring during that time.

please do not use "catch a break" in the same sentence as "AD".

cue the "he should be in the gym" comments

I mean, where's the commitment? You got snuffed out of the playoffs, and now you're dancing terribly in public acting like it's ok? Sir, you get paid more in one year than most people work in a lifetime, and you only come to work half the work days.

Your co-workers are going to start resenting you if you don't show the commitment to make things different this year.

And if you really screw things up, the guys will have a soap party and shave your brow, throwing your entire self identity into the toilet so they can remold you into an athlete who cares.

    /end jk rant

jokes aside, i do think AD will probably balloon up towards the end of his career, just seems like he has the propensity to put on weight. maybe not shawn kemp style, but maybe more vin baker.

it goes without saying that he plays better lighter.

True. Sure seems like that guy.

About the content, it's completely fine to be enjoying is life. He's not a gym rat, there's just players who don't have that skill and drive

Kemp's was sudden...Baker was already there for the most part. Remains to be seen if he will get to Zion Williamson level.
