right. he's still not great at solving double teams, so catching in isolation if nobody's moving isn't a great way to maximize him on offense. having him and defenders moving makes him VERY difficult to manage.

and it's funny how everyone acts as though AD is a bad offensive player or something. he's a perennial 25ppg scorer. we didn't use him well the last two years, nor did we construct rosters or use lineups that maximized his abilities.

I give nobody any excuses on this roster.

If anything, Kurt gets a pass for having to deal with this whole team's b*******. I hope his marriage is ok. Linda seems like a real keeper. Too much stress is never good.

I think he brings it to himself. He wants the iso ball and to dribble it more in the perimeter, like a forward, but it doesn't suit him. I understand he wants to be protected from the physical game inside, but there's ways he can avoid physical battles and still be a force on the inside. He should finish lobs at least 5x a game easily.

Curious to see what type of game he brings next year, it's an important year for him as a build-up for the post-lebron

Kurt's entire job is to deal with this team's BS. FTM his wife's job is to deal with Jeanie's BS too. No passes for either. What both get is full complete responsibility for any BS there is on this team. These guys run it, Kurt is defacto BBall Prez and Jeanie delegates all her stuff to Linda.

it's possible, but he never demanded that in NO. felt like he got the ball in better positions there pretty regularly, which is why he averaged nearly 30 a couple times despite being basically the same guy (his athleticism hasn't dropped off at all, for example).

we have him making catches standing still at the 45s behind the three point line. this is exactly how and where i want him catching the ball as an opponent. his touches should be on the move and nearer to the key unless it's a corner three. the only standstill catch he should get is in the post against a smaller defender or on the wing against a larger/slower one. to me, this isn't too hard, but maybe you're right and he's asked for it. i just don't see why when he's had more success the other ways.

I've mentioned it. Don't think they'll do it, but it is the best chance at a quick rebuild.

Personally I’d do it. LeBron holds us hostage right now with not knowing if he’ll sign an extension, and the coach we bring in has to get along with him, he’ll be chasing the scoring record above all else this season, etc, etc, etc.. Someone said like yesterday that we are worse off now than we were in the tanking year, but I disagree, because we have 3 massive trade assets. A huge expiring in Russ, an all time great and ticket seller in LeBron, and a superstar when healthy in AD. We could absolutely get solid players and stockpile picks for all three to either use or flip, and begin our rebuild early instead of watching at least 2 of them walk for nothing in a year. We won’t, but we could. And then we’ll rely on that magic cap space and the charisma of a Kurt Rambis pitch to save us lol.

I don't think he is going to be traded... I would think twice about that extension though.
