teams will definitely try to rob us blind in an AD trade, but the only way it happens is if lebron goes and/or we fire the FO. even if i agreed we should trade him (i certainly don't), the people who made the move for him still work here and would have a hard time justifying giving up all those assets and then taking fewer back in return. i suppose you could argue the rental netted a title and you've cut losses in case he's chronically injured from here on out, but you're basically giving up contention at all.

our only path next year includes AD and lebron. after that, lebron's a FA (and may be done, tbh), and things can get really wild. i don't expect anything at all with those two this summer.

We wish he could play 60 games. More like 30-40 games a season Davis

nah. everybody else just plays through these, don't you know? and nobody else misses games or large chunks of seasons except like...almost everyone.

AD is not untouchable if theres a PG/Jrue holiday type package with at least 3 1st round picks the Lakers have to make the deal. There are very strong doubts if he can be a #1 or #2 player to a title team (even if he were healthy). He is productive but long term impact towards being a title contender, Im not sure if hes that guy now. He will be 29 and a half when we start the 2022-2023 campaign.

He's talking quite a bit now and giving excuses but he was not an impactful player early in the year in the home heavy schedule of games he played.

i feel like i've successfully argued the first part over and over.

the second part is accurate. AD was subpar to start the year, and that was b*******. my personal opinion is that he and lebron wining and dining and wheeling and dealing set a lazy tone for the season, and they led us down the hole before they each got injured and pulled the dirt in over us.

that said: there aren't doubts about AD as a #1 player. he has been, and if he's not, almost nobody is. thrust him into the spotlight. say it's his team. lebron needs to say it. management needs to say it. AD needs to own it. go from there. we have not done that.

deflect n deflect some more, cause 30yrs+ old should be as "durable" as a 27yr old whose only had 3 playoff season to his career vs a guy who has gone to 9 straight finals and yet some how the 38yr old still managed to play more games

28 - 9 - 8 with 3 blocks and 2 steals against Denver and even had 21 - 13 in last night's stinker. Both games while playing hurt.

He's not untouchable but I wouldn't trade him for some mid tier guy and draft picks.

He had a lot of company too.

Honestly not getting how so many of the main people who complained during our youth movement have convinced themselves that they will be okay with another period of hoping the ping pong balls fall our way.

Not only them falling the right way, but us taking the right guy which another roll of the dice entirely. I think the scouting department is leaned on much more when you're not picking on the top 5 or even in the top 10.

I'm done with rebuilds from the ground up and drafting and waiting.
