Chemistry isn't developed without some success on the court. Our perimeter guys aren't hitting open shots, this has been an ongoing issue. What more can be done, when a guy is already getting an open look at the basket? Almost all these guys are hesitating before letting the shot go, I wouldn't expect them to be successful doing that. Errant passes or missed rotations are things that you could attribute to lack of playing with each other or chemistry, but missing open shots is on the player. I've never been a big fan of the bunch of "shooters" on the roster thing. Most "shooters" are catch and shoot types, those guys are prone to go into slumps. I'd rather have a guy that can score off the dribble, even if he doesn't shoot a high percentage from three, because he can still score, and a lot of those type of guys can get into a rhythm and knock down some threes to boot. Of course AD being out, coupled with Lebron not being 100 percent, makes things look even worse. We just got stomped last night, but I would have played Tucker and Kuzma all game, win ore lose because they can score, other than just relying on a jump shot. Kcp, Mathews, McClemore and Morris are pretty much useless if their shots aren't falling.

Ignore the overly optimistic clickbait title (Haynes is becoming pretty annoying with this), the title is solely based on AD apparently flashing 6 fingers to someone. The rest of the article goes on to describe how limited AD was in his movements and how much pain he was in during his pre-game “workout”.

doesnt have to play like a super star, his mere presence might give rest of guys some hope, its why Cp360 never sat any gms after his initial shoulder issue

feel like there's almost no upside to him playing in game 6. if the injury was bad enough to miss one game, it was probably bad enough to miss a few (or worse). honestly, if he showed up in game 6 and looked anything like himself, i'd have a lot of questions.

Hopefully he's not playing just to play. I'd rather we look at next season. I know the players don't think like that, but I'm concerned about a Kevin Durant at GS situation which would be way worse.

At any rate Ludabrow knows his body.

That what I'm thinking. We need to think of next season and beyond at this point.

right. i'm obviously not an md. i've just had similar injuries (to both his and lebron's). i know pros have better treatment and may be tougher, but i just don't see how he wouldn't be severely limited at best.

and yes, it's possible that in two to three weeks, he'll be totally recovered (i think i was after my strained groin). just not in 4 days.

What could happen? Well two possibilities that are both terrible and since our chances of winning it all now are next to 0 with the state of both Lebron's and AD's injuries going three more rounds to a championship .... should by rational thinking here be not worth it. 1. The achilles finally goes on our centerpiece signing for the years to come and we are now in very possibly Kobe territory with the type of game AD plays, needing to move fast both on offense and defense at his size and weight. 2. He actually rips the groin area which takes him out of any serious recuperation and strengthening this off season, only to get well enough maybe to start playing again at the start of next season. CP2 ripping his shoulder, if that were to happen, in no way affects Phoenix as badly going forward. IMO.

i'm on board with sitting AD

no point in risking further injury when this team simply doesn't have what it takes to win it all. they've been unable to make a shot since day 1, what makes anyone think that'll suddenly change? these guys are checked out

CP3 didn’t sit because he couldn’t make his injury any worse, AD can. To me that’s the difference.

Well if that’s possible for AD to operate as a decoy and try to motivate the team even if he’s not able to play at a superstar level, sure. But it seems he may not really be able to even move on that groin right now.

Completely different scenario than CP3, where the shoulder seemed to primarily limit his mobility when it came to raising up his arms for a jump shot. But he could still run up and down the court, play defense, facilitate, etc

of course Cp3 could make it worse, get hit there again and it can easily tear if it isnt already torn but hes just managing it. If he Ad feels he can play let him if Dr's agree if he cant so be it

I think I read somewhere that CP3 couldn’t make it worse but don’t know where I saw that right now. Getting hit on a injury is going to hurt. That doesn’t mean he will tear something. I agree if the doctors clear AD he can play. I just do not think they will.

You just ignored and skipped right over (more than simply resting, which he didn't even get to do this year with a lingering injury from last season's playoffs) ..... hopefully the training staff and he get serious this off season about strengthening him up, if he's healthy enough to do it? A ripped groin or torn achilles would preclude that, would it not?

last time I checked Bron is 36 and was in those same gm's, had it not been for a freak ankle role he'd still be an mvp lvl type player right now, he got as much "rest" as prime Ad

WTF does that even mean?? LeBron's a freak physically his whole career, same as Kobe was with his work ethic and ability to play with pain. And didn't injure himself in the playoffs as far as we know.

Yes, this, even if we win this series somehow, a groin issue like this isn’t going to improve the more games we play, we aren’t beating the Nets unhealthy even if we come out of the West. These aren’t race horses, they’re people, if they can do further damage, bad damage, you don’t push it. If he needs to sit, if this isn’t out year because of it, fine, it happens. To be angry at a player because their body is beat up is beyond ridiculous.

But he's soft, you don't get it. Kobe would play!
