I know it was a breakfast game yesterday, but that first quarter was beastly.

What property taxes and drain on your finances on top of after Sacramento gets through with you with state income tax. I think these guys think you “need” to buy a monster sized mansion with more rooms than you’ll ever need ... just because they have a big salary. Maybe had to one or two up Schroder’s new crib? Props I guess. What’s wrong with a $6M 4-5000 sq ft stunner on a prime view elevated lot instead? (also with a tennis court and killer pool and spa of course)

    :Dudleyshrug:

At least he got rid of the horrid commute from Westlake that he had with the last mansion. Pretty close now to BBall activities.

A good tax man and real estate property in California since 1930, doubles every 10.5 years on the average. A 31 million dollar home in that area will be worth 40 million in 5-10 years.

I think small ball is the way to go against the Warriors defensively.

Try to pound them with our size and establish some dominance early on. But if it’s close and the game is in the balance, I’d feel more comfortable with 4 competent perimeter defenders and AD out there. I don’t wanna see Steph pull Gasol or Drummond onto an island and start toying with em.

Curry will have a field day early on with (very) soft hedges from Drummond. He's going to get targeted by GSW . His ability to rebound won't outweigh these negatives

    Vogel better adapt fast

can't rebound when it's coming out of the net. i wonder if we'll give up a few layups almost on purpose with the first unit just to keep curry from getting an early rhythm. just run everyone at him and let toscano or someone get 12 points in the first quarter.

I meant offensive rebounds , GSW is 6th worst when it comes to defensive rebounding % .

We just make our life way harder by starting Drummond , would be a layup practice for us with Marc spacing the floor and finding teammates backdoor ...

This is a game for THT and Trez off the bench too ... Just keep attacking the rim .

Not thrilled to probably watch AD taking tough jumpers over Draymond to start the game

He said yesterday they’re running AD at the 5 in practice to be ready and AD says he’s down with playing the 5 in the playoffs as needed.

The level of distrust in Vogel and the collective BB IQ on our team on this forum is surprising, to say the least.

i have trust, though vogel tossed game 1s last year in service to continuity of lineups. this is a game 1 of sorts.

I don't think he tossed them in service to continuity. IMO he, and the team, treated those games as a kind of exercise to see what works and what not. They could do that, because they knew those were series, not single elimination games. Besides, if my memory serves me right, we lost to Portland not because of a bad game plan, it was at least to a significant part due to abysmal shooting.

Anyway, all I'm saying is, Vogel, LBJ and the rest of the team are well aware of the circumstances and IMHO have so far proven to be able to prepare well for different kinds of opponents. Can we loose? Sure, if Curry goes ballistic and our stars don't show up. But do I expect them not to be prepared well or have a bad strategy for the game? HELL NO.

When reading some of the comments on this board, it may see like our coach is some kind of a mental midget and we are lacking the necessary BB IQ on the court as well. Both are extremely far from the truth.

BTW @abeer3 - my initial post was not directed at you in any way ;)

oh i know. i just think vogel has made some choices that from the outside look very strange. a prime example would be openly talking about trying harrell and gasol together, but never doing it. or playing mclemore a bunch when we really hadn't given wes a fair shot to earn regular minutes.

all that said, he pushed the right buttons enough to win a title last year, and i think some of his choices have been complicated by involvement from upper management and his two team leaders.

my concern about this game (aside from curry going nova) is that AD hasn't really found a rhythm offensively since returning, and i have no idea what our guard rotation is going to be. our team hasn't really played a game together in months, whereas our opponent has been playing a consistent lineup and is one of the hotter teams in the league.

I can see where your concerns are coming from and they are valid points, even though I tend to have a more optimistic view in general. There is one thing I disagree about though - AD. In the last couple of games he looked ready to me, just coasting to some extent. I would be surprised if we don't see plaoyff AD against the Warriors.

mostly his jumper just looks shaky. though i looked, and his midrange shot left him about three years ago--full 8-10% drop. it's weird. he used to be deadly from there, relatively speaking. and now he's just sorta average i guess. he's gotten better at the rim and from deep, though, i guess.
