Sports is always a microcosm of society. More than the majority of people will swallow what the media tells them. Those same people usually act like they aren't influenced when they are the worst offenders. We do not live in a world of facts and common sense. We, well not me, YOU live in a world where sensationalism dominates your decision making in your own head.

While all this b******* was going on, I kept sitting back saying, why is everyone going crazy over what the Clippers are doing? They are the Clippers. They are a goose egg. When they actually DO SOMETHING, then you should talk. The Lakers had Lebron James and a 26 year old super star about to hit his prime. How was that not telling you the Lakers at least deserved the benefit of the doubt first.

No, people love empty drama. Then when that drama drains like piss through a toilet, they stay in their outhouse.

Lakers, barring a major injury to Lebron or AD, are going to win the 2020 NBA Finals. Not because I am cocky or getting ahead of myself. But because their WORK has given us enough evidence to tell us so.

I have avoided ALL pregame, halftime and postgame this season. All nonsense anyway. Having said that, we all have been aware how much the press have been hyping them all season. Makes a good story nothing more.

Very smart. The TNT show has sucked all playoff long too. It's turned into Kenny Smith making me fall asleep, to Chuck and Shaq arguing over how wrong they are all the time

AD vs the Heat this year 29.5 ppg, 9 rpg, 4 apg, 60% FG, 44% from 3. He's going to have a field day vs 6 foot 9 Bam. Miami's zone concerns me

The crazy thing is, every game it feels like he still has another gear and could really explode.

James Worthy was saying AD had flashes of Hakeem, with more jump shooting. To me, this guy is the Big Mamba. I feel like the shots he takes are similar to Kobe's. From the moves down to spots on the floor. His game winner in game 2 kind of crystallizes this for me.

I think this has probably proven to be invaluable, though of course we have to add in the 4 months off for him to heal up whatever he has going on before the restart. Hopefully not jinxing it, but he hadn’t missed any real time this season

NBA better give AD an MVP AND a DOPY in the same year before he is done in his career. Because he was robbed royally out of the DOPY at the very least.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he won't get those in the same year. The "NBA" who votes for this are people who host shows on ESPN. People voting for these awards aren't even going for good journalistic stories, there is a percentage of them just voting for good TV. Going forward I don't expect a lot of individual awards for AD or LBJ, because the media will always say LBJ or AD has "help" with the other. But GIannis, Harden and who effn cares doesn't have help, so they deserve the MVP, and they will get eliminated by us in the postseason.

I expect All-NBA appearances for LBJ/AD and championships. Everyone will remember who was the best.

It doesn’t help that they’re both Lakers as well.

Kobe, Shaq and now LeBron have all been robbed of MVPs.

AD is shooting 58% for the playoffs despite taking all those mid-range and three pointers. If this guy strictly shot from within 10 feet of the rim, he'd be shooting 75% from the field. I had my doubts about him particularly when he played soft but this dude plays significantly better in the playoffs. Amazing player. He will end up being an all-time Lakers great and the greatest Lakers PF ever.

    He's a MonStar

    Grown man s***

Also want to bring attention to the fact that he was 10-10 from the line AND 50% from 3. How many players can do that? Bigs? That list dwindled really fast

That hustle off a missed shot to score on three Heat players? Well, that was a play that stood out.
