I think that many trades happen with a lot of chaos, perhaps they were not sure if Hart was going to be included in that deal. If you tell him it is a possibility and then it does not happen, how will he feel going forward?? Some players get depressed about things and become a negative influence in the locker room. It is part of the business at this point. If I owned the team I would NEVER tell a player they were going to trade him before the trade was made. It is kind of a bummer and shock for the player but I don't really know a good solid alternate way to do it. I mean who knows how close they could have been to trading Kuz? Should they have told him that trading him was a possibility? I don't think so. Ownership should be keeping this stuff close to the vest.

All good points...but someone leaked it to Woj for Hart to find out on Twitter anyway, so you would think that info would first be given to all the parties involved in the trade. I mean it was no secret that we were aiming to acquire AD, so all these guys were on high alert anyways. Hart was part of the rumored/leaked package at the trade deadline as well. All our youngns had to know they were on the block. So when the deal gets consummated, their agents should have told them about it no doubt.

I see both sides of this.

But snakes and sharks don't do courtesy calls.

    Agent: Hart, you're getting traded
Hart: Calls Lonzo. Bro, I'm getting traded!
Lonzo: Dad, Hart is getting traded, am I in this trade?
Lavar: Call the press, you just had a virtual hamstring tear and might need surgery. Potentially "career threatening" Ain't nobody buying my... I mean "our" $4 bottle water in N'oleans.

and it was all avoided by not telling you.

    Sorry bro, it's like that.

Hart had to know that call was coming sooner or later. C'mon.

right. agent's job. so the argument to be angry with the lakers is that they didn't tell the agents? seems unlikely, but i'm sure it's not unprecedented--particularly if the deal needs to be kept quiet.

Yeah well who leaked it?? If it's Jeannie than shame on her but if it is someone else then what's she supposed to do about it? She could just start firing people but that would total paranoia. I do believe that as they find out who is leaking stuff, those people should be let go. Period. And don't tell the other players, you put them in a bad spot. The Lakers still have someone leaking to the press, seems like that is the problem to me.

What exactly is even being argued here? Who is at fault? Lamar Odom didn’t get informed when he was traded for Chris Paul either, it was a s**** move, not the right way to go. So I guess both Jim and Mitch and now Jeanie and Rob were cowards and snakes, our FO have been pieces of crap humans. There, argument settled? Hey, how about that Anthony Davis, dude is pretty good I heard.

News just travels so fast today. I doubt the Lakers or any team are intentionally avoiding players, but deals get leaked as they finalize terms so the players hear from twitter. Tis life.

Hope you are happy AD; now that Dwight is here, you don't have to play much 5. Just make sure you punch him in the face if he does anything stupid.

:SadPau2: .... meh he's not exactly "skying" into the air on those but his big hands and freakishly long arms help a lot. Decently athletic more than ATHLETIC athletic it seems to me.

Used the space to absorb CP3 and sign Melo. LBJ/CP3/Melo = Three Star Superteam.
