    This was absolutely big, I’m not sure if we do land AD if we didn’t get that 4th pick. That, or the deal today would have included everything plus Kuz too.

    I sure hope there’s no indication from KD’s camp, terrible idea. Durant will be back in 2020, yes, but he’ll also take half a season to a full season to round into basketball shape. He’ll also never be the same player he was again, that’s just the fact of an achilles rupture. No thanks to that, I hope he goes to NY, there have been reports he’s there now recovering and has no plans to leave anytime soon too.

    I would normally be all over solidifying our depth instead of going have just another great player, but if we do sign another max player like Weezy said both AD and that player will help us for years to come when LBJ moves on.

    How long were you willing to wait? They were all close to getting new contracts, which is always "scary". I rather have a proven all-star.

    Watch them bring Randle back to start at the 5 and have maybe the most exciting team in the NBA. I can see the stories now of the motivation of all the ex Lakers given up on too soon. Yeah we need that 3rd big name. Had to give up Hart too. Damn. They will be fun to watch!

    Lavar Ball needs to shut the hell up. His son is going to be on a team with Zion, BI, Hart, Jrue Holliday, Julius Randle, currently the #4 pick but that might be flipped to land a stud player especially if they throw in the 39th & 57th pick & a player.
    Plus, their own salary cap went down to about 80 mil in dealing Davis.
    This could be the best team Lonzo has ever been on.

    AD is the perfect player to come in and do the dirty work. We needed a Robin to Kuzma's Batman. AD is the perfect Robin. And AD is probably stoked to ride Kuzma's coattails to a ring.

    Now that my initial frustration is gone, I know we have been wanting another max free agent, but if we want to actually win now and not have happen to us what happened to the Warriors with all the injuries, we need to use that max money and make sure we have an actual team.

    I understand getting a Kawhi, or Kyrie, or Butler will make us favorites, and I understand we can sure up with min contracts and ring chasers, but getting a point guard first like Kemba and then filling out the team with shooters, defenders, big men, seems the better route.

    Kemba is not a max player thankfully. He made 12M this past year, so we should offer him no more than 18M and then use the rest on building an actual team that makes sense.

    There is not necessarily a huge problem with the 3rd max fa route, it’s just that we haven’t been too great on the injury front the past several years so we can’t bank on the fact that everyone will be healthy and if we have a bench like we did this year, we aren’t going anywhere.

    Its Kawhi and than Butler. Butler has the Mamba mentality and is a two way player and a legit 2. He would flourish with Lebron and AD getting the doubles.

    Expectation is Rich Paul will push for KCP to take a reduced deal to start at shooting guard. No talks have begun but mixed feelings internally. Will likely depend on consensus from Vogel, Rambis, and Kidd.
