Mr. Rambis, what have you heard about this potential deal being in placed?

 

I don’t see this trade happening we have more then enough to get it done. They don’t want to trade with us and are using us as leverage to get a better offer from another team.

I rather just stop all this s*** save us the embarrassment try to sign kiwi or jimmy then trade BI or Kuz and the #4 for Beal.

I have a friend with connections to the Lakers FO who told me yesterday that the entire hold up is due to the #4 pick. He said the second they find a team willing to offer assets that the Pelicans like, a deal will be completed.

Can you confirm/deny this?

 

This is surprising to hear as Lakers had approached Chicago before but nothing materialized - causing negotiations to stall yesterday and early today. However Bulls seem to be high on Lonzo and hope to pair him with their young guys as part of a rebuild. Looks like rather than the Lakers or Pelicans caving, they did! Makes sense all around. Let's see if this gets done...

The amount of horse (bleep) from fans and fugazi insiders is souring brain cells. Those who know what the hell negotiations are, are the ones sitting back and waiting to see how this develops.

There is one guy that has control of all of this, that's Anthony Davis. Looking at what his agent has already done, he has told everyone he wants to be a Laker. And comparing that to Paul George and Kawhi Leonard is inaccurate. Because there was never anything coming from those camps the way it has from Klutch.

If these aholes and the league don't want to trade him to the Lakers, AD needs to be as clear to any GM that wants to risk it, that they will lose him in 12 months.

Toronto didn't risk anything by getting Kawhi. They got out of the mental midget that was Derozen and had all the breaks in en route to winning it all.

OKC didn't risk anything going after Paul George because they didn't want Oladipo anyways and Paul signing there will end up costing PG multiple titles and I doubt anyone makes that mistake again.

 

I’m getting too greedy fantasizing about this scenario where we keep Ingram.

Imagine we pull that off and then sign Butler. Ingram and Butler on the perimeter with AD behind them would be crazy defensively.

Last time I checked he has one year left on his contract so that means he has 0 control just a lot barking from his agent. He can say he won’t sign with whatever team he’s traded to. But he’s still got 1 year left on his deal and the pelicans have all the control as far as I see it and can trade him wherever they want.

This is pretty much my dream outcome. They would be crazy good on defense....And very good offensively too!

 

no bruh I’m just going off what they did at the deadline and there owner saying “over her dead body” they would trade with the lakers. This thing could have been done a week ago, im just reading the obvious signs that they don’t want to trade with us and are using us as leverage. But keep you head in the sand. But man I would love to be proven wrong but this looks like a deadline fiasco all over again.
