Not gonna get that, especially after him signing with Jay-Z. That all but locks him into a Nets jersey. If we're not going to get Kyrie, this is the best thing he could do for us. The timing of the announcement of his agent change makes me think he did Bron a solid and helped us sink any chance Boston had. That or he hates the C Bags that much and just wanted to f*** them for his own personal amusement.

So rumors are now we can keep #4 if we trade our 3 youngsters? In terms of cap room, do we still have a full max? I assume no where Kuzma would be making less than #4. But, if we can keep #4, draft Garland, get AD, and still have the max? Sign me up. We have to get back to contention and we can still get a young gun to go with AD post LeBron. I really think Garland has Lillard/Kemba game.

We can sign the draft pick after free agency right?

My knowledge of the salary cap has swindled sooooo much over the last decade. I used to read the thing for fun back in the Clublakers prime days.

I heard someone say we can't afford a Max if we keep Ingram. That's definitely not true right

According to what Omar posted above from Scoop B that 4th pick might go along with Lonzo to Chicago for them taking Solomon Hill in and sending Lavine and their 7th pick to NO. And think that 4th pick gets a lot more salary than Kuz from what I read elsewhere in any event.

That last deal probably works for everyone, since CHI loves Lonzo. The only problem is us keeping Ingram, which costs us some $$.

I’d cry tears of joy if this lineup comes to fruition.

Lakers current salary is a bit over 65 mil for the upcoming season. If they trade Ball and Ingram, it drops to about 49 mil. Add in Davis’s 27 mil and it jumps to about 77 mil. That leaves team with 32 mil to get under the 109 mil salary cap. They could afford another MAX free agent if they don’t bring back Rondo and KCP.

I'd be very interested in why you don't think highly of Pelina's negotiating skills. As maligned as he is, the guy negotiates for a living. What i would be more worried about is Rambii looking over his shoulder trying to get their 2 cents in....

If this were true, it'd already be done. Scoop isn't reliable, unfortunately.

    Also, your avy is...enjoyable.

Wait, so we get to possibly spare BI in an AD trade... That already better be agreed upon with the "shopping of the 4th" being the tertiary play in an already done deal. If true, I figure the hold up is Nawlins trying to find the best offer for the 4th pick. Also this trade has to be agreed upon and can't be officially made till July 6th at the earliest (would be bad for our max slot, if it were the case).

Needless to say, we want to hold off on making this trade official. August is the best case scenario for a deal to be made official.

Also it's clear to me that some of y'all ain't feeding off the cap thread. It's cool...but let's just say BI+maxguy+AD+Bron is very much cap possible as long as Griff gifts us that scenario.
