    Hey @myunibrodavis !

I'm not sure, I don't have player level details at the moment. My sense is that they want to keep 1 out of Lonzo/Brandon/Kyle/#4. Also different people within the Lakers org value different young guys internally, which is why it took them so long to come back to the table with an offer in the first place. I also personally do not think very highly of Pelinka or Kurt's negotiating skills for other reasons, so I would be surprised if they were able to keep the young player who had the most value league wide. Remember that other than Magic, we have the same people who were negotiating in February, only with the addition of Kurt's powerful voice.

The longer this drags on, the greater the possibility of failure. The hold up may be that Griffin is still waiting for better deals.

Griffin is a lot smarter than Pelinka or Kurt in my experience. He knows what he's doing. He actually has very little leverage in my opinion, but is making it seem like he's holding all the cards e.g. demanding a 3 team deal for extra assets.

I don't think Boston is a serious player at the moment. Seems more like a Griffin leverage play. Notice how not a single concrete offer has been leaked on the Boston side, especially when all the leaks are coming directly from Griffin to drive up value and put pressure on others.

Talk is cheap, and I'd only be concerned about New York or Boston until I start at least hearing a high level framework for what a potential deal would look like. I listened to the clip of Woj talking on air about it and it's quite clear he doesn't have much depth on this...

Wait... the Pelicans are counteroffering that to the Lakers? The Lakers would be able to keep Ingram???

    What are we waiting for!

Well, he is going to be a FA in one year, and no guarantee he stays. I’d be working that leverage to reduce the offer because I could.

Thinking you want to play with Lebron and actually having to play with him are two different things

If that’s the deal it should be done by now.
If that’s the deal, the Lakers really are that stupid in causing roadblocks with their reluctance to give up Kuzma.
If that’s the deal AND we get to keep Ingram there should be no hold up.

If this is seriously a counter offer the Pelicans made we’d be insane not to accept it immediately. Good god.

well, there's a simple conclusion: that's not the deal. this scoops guy has basically been wrong about everything ever, right?

yeah, that's a MAJOR shift in his tone, which has basically been: pfffftt lakers.

Huge shift in tones. Either a deal is done and hes covering himself from all the “lakers assets are trash”. Or a deal is dead and he can continue blasting Lakers, with “disfunction, werent willing to make a deal”.

I felt yesterday that the deal was imminent and this just makes me feel stronger about it. League may actually be telling them to slow play it due to the Finals and the fact that we are clearly dominating the headlines.

He’s actually been pretty good on information since I’ve been following him. Him reporting the Durant injury worse than reported (before he tore his achilles) really sold me on him.
