Fair point, but guards and small forwards own this league, they have more control of their teams because they handle the ball the majority of the time, that’s just the modern NBA. If you shut down the guys around them they can’t be as effective, I don’t really place huge blame on Davis for that, we saw it happen to Giannis too in the ECF.

This is surprising to me. What in hell does Lee Jenkins do for the team that they paid him probably big money to leave S.I.?

With Durant tearing his achilles, the West is going to be wide open as THESE Warriors are not scary. This deal must be closed. Lebron and AD can take out anyone in the league.

The guy who has never played over 75 games? The guy who only wants to resign with the lakers or knicks? The guy signed to klutch?
Oh course you don't tell him to kick rocks. You tell the Pels to kick rocks and enjoy kevin knox. Look, I realize that doesn't get a deal done, and you add more assets, im just tired of the lakers acting so weak.

Im not saying you don't add more pieces, im just saying the lakers need to play hard ball. The "godfather" offers reeked of desperation to appease lebron and to save jobs.

Who would be PG? SG? You don't think zo/jimmy butler/ingram/lebron/mcgee with kuz/hart off the bench would be better?

Historically superstars that get traded almost NEVER get anything near their value. Why should the Lakers start changing that trend now? Shaq was traded for odom and caron butler. Obviously older, but you never get value from a guy wanting out AND naming the teams he wants. Make them pay for that.

It's easy to tell who the young people in here are because they're emotionally attached to young players who are unproven, average, injury prone, etc.

Dude above me is knocking AD for never playing 75 games in a season while Ingram has played < 60 in each of the last 2 and Lonzo has played < 55 lol, despite being much younger and smaller therefore less injury prone than a 7 footer.

We'll miss out on AD and they'll be like "we kept the young core!" and have no complaints when we get bounced in the 2nd round.

No I don’t. But mainly because Butler is a cancer and Zo and BI have yet to prove they can string a good season together. Now, replace Butler with Kawhi and we’re getting there.

Lot of assuming and broad brushing in an insulting way you're doing there plus pretty poor player evaluation if the players many of us will accept losing for AD but not be happy about seing them hit their coming primes and their next decade for other teams .... you think are "average" talents at their ages. IMO.

Correct. And we didn't get Paul George because of Ingram when we probably already knew LBJ was coming.

Our Goddather offer probably isn't anywhere near AD's value.

Griffin has a point. We will have to pretty much empty the chamber and be glad for the chance. Ingram/lonzo/kuz is not a contending core, now or in five years.

Funny thing is that some of them ripped the young core repeatedly including Randle and DLO. Now they love them and wouldn’t trade them for Anthony Davis.

Like @LaVarBallsDad said, some folks will just never be happy.
