Are they f***ing nuts ?:LLLLLebronlaughing:. The C Bags won't want to give up both Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. Tossing in this year's Sacramento Kings pick (No. 14) and Robert Williams might be enough to yank Brown from the equation,

The Pelicans should be happy with this return. They're getting two cornerstone prospects, a gamer in Marcus Smart and two additional first-round picks—one of which may wind up being a top-seven selection in 2020 or even better than that in 2021. With Williamson and Jrue Holiday already in tow, New Orleans won't have to worry about bottoming out in the post-Davis era.

This more than offsets the Lakers climbing to the No. 4 spot. The C Bags can still blow every other potential Davis package out of the water. Williamson's fate was the only threat to their bargaining throne, and that pitfall is now neutralized courtesy of the Pelicans themselves.

Wtf!? Robert Williams? The 14th pick? Framing memphis's pick as top-7 (7 is the highest it could possibly be)?

    Put the green beer down.

Like LJ and HJ said, that report is hearsay (not from the owner herself) and is dated (before draft order was set and before the Lakers hired Vogel).

This is really all leverage cause AD's camp has put it out there that it has to be a major city/market. The cLips don't have much to offer and neither does BK. Chicago's pick fell off so... armed with the 3rd & 4th picks, NY and LA are the only likely bidders.

It's why you got the Boston Herald reporting that the Pels view the Taintum package (pause) so favorably, even tho AD has pretty much made it obvious it's a rental destination no matter what Ky does. You need more action at the table and the Pels are desperately trying to generate that. I wouldn't be surprised if Memphis and their #2 is soon floated as a possible AD trade partner. Or I wouldn't be surprised if the Lakers are rumored to be going for players on one year remaining deals like Lowry to open up a max spot in 2020 for AD as a UFA. it's time to start leveraging.

    #ItsPosturinSeason

Btw, remember that Griff stepped down as GM cause Gilbert was meddling way too much...so even though he's president and not GM this time, I'm sure he told Benson before he took the job that she needs to allow him to operate as he sees "fit". I doubt Benson gets in his way this summer.

Oh btw, RJ never met with the Nawlins contingent at the Combine. That's another revealing wrinkle into NY's potential package at #3 if they intend to draft RJ and trade him to the Pels for AD.

Also Culver meet with NO at Chicago...and now this report:

Seems like NY is on the fence with trying to trade for AD or just keeping the pick for themselves. Maybe this is Culver's camp exploiting this situation to drive him to the 3rd pick. Either way, LA might have a play at RJ now.

Reminder for the next 2 months: Believe nothing. Question everything.

(Probably sound advice for life in general, now that I think about it.)

Wow I'm loving all of this Vash!!!

TBH though...I like Culver a lot. I think he can be a superstar with his versatility and ability to hit 3s. His shot is nice too...

If we drafted Culver and kept him...I'd be ecstatic. If we drafted him FOR new orleans and traded him, i wouldn't be upset. If New York drafts him though and we have RJ fall to us...that's still awesome for us although I'm not as high on RJ as others

(Low key, I really like Gentry. Seems like a genuinely good dude and I'm glad he got to keep that gig and land Zion.)

She would be foolish to hurt her own franchise to spite AD and the Lakers. Most reports say she’s more committed to the football side than basketball, but that doesn’t mean she is going to screw her own team over if we offer the best deal you’d have to think. I also keep hearing/reading that Griffin wouldn’t have taken the job if he doesn’t have the authority to DO the job, so he isn’t going to be held back by ownership from taking what he feels is the best deal. If that’s us, great, if he feels it isn’t, well, at least we probably try to still do everything we can to make our offer look great.

Maybe the whole situation is as simple and petty as a girl fight. No offense to Girls here.

I'm confused. You guys read the tweet I posted correctly, right? She's saying the report that she wouldn't trade with the Lakers is false. The "over my dead body" stuff regarding trading with us isn't something we need to put any stock in because it's nonsense.

We're well-positioned to snag AD, in my opinion. The biggest question mark is BI's medicals.

Just keep BI if possible and trade the rest so NO won’t worry about the blood clot issue :)
