    I think it would be unwise of the Pelicans to not consider a deal with the Lakers, especially since we now have an extra asset in the 4th pick.

    At that very least, if the pels don't like one of our young players, they should let us know what they'd like us to get for them and we'll go out and get it from PHX, CLE or CHI as all 3 are looking to move up in the draft or get a PG (lonzo maybe?).

    I can see us dealing Lonzo for the 6th or 7th pick and a player or two (Josh Jackson or Kris Dunn)..or maybe dealing 4th for 6th or 7th and a FUTURE pick (similar to what ATL did with Dallas the previous year)...I'm open to both scenarios..I just hope Lakers FO is thinking creatively about this and talking to everyone about these scenarios! We have a real chance to hit this right

    I hope we have a backup trade because even though we can offer a better package, my gut tells me AD is going to the Knicks.

    yeah, just keep the flexibility to create a max spot if necessary in 2020 and tell NO to kick rocks. don't let them use us to get more out of ny.

    we're fine without davis. and if he moves east, that's better. let's get kawhi or kyrie, keep our all of our youth and the #4 pick, and be ready to sign davis if he walks in 2020.

    Reading that report, she didn't actually say that. The reporter says they "think" she said "basically" this . . . that's a lot different than her coming out herself and actually giving such a quote to the media. I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions so easily. This is another media manipulation and whether it really mirrors her thought or opinion is another matter. This is pre-negotiation strategy.

    why isn't NO upset with boston, who has been hoarding assets for years and making no secret of their intention to use those to get davis? that would piss me off as an owner.

    at least ny just sucks and is in a big city.

    This is an aggregation of 4th-hand reporting that was self-described as "scuttlebutt."
