Anthony Davis Discussion: Only Player On Both All NBA + All Def

I really don't know. If a package is lesser in value or not is a question of perception, it's etremely difficult to assess the actual value of players as a fan, especially when they are playing on your favorite team. I am pretty sure they would have still traded with us if the Lakers package was clearly better.

That being said - this is really not the point I was making - the Pels were a very specific case. The fact they seemingly didn't want to trade with the Lakers doesn't mean other teams won't as well. Let's not act as the victims here...

 

I'm not saying teams wont trade with us, I'm saying they dont deal with us on "good faith" when it comes to these calibre of players (AD, Kawahi)

 

I think that's overpaying at this point. They have no leverage. They HAVE TO trade him during the summer. Drag this out until the deadline and they're getting peanuts.

LeBron and Kyrie at the very least. I think a huge play for AD happens after that. We have the ammo and Boston is SCREWED. They can't gut their team for a rental after losing Kyrie.

If that scenario plays out I agree with your take, but Kyrie is looking like a high maintenance tier 2 star lately which puts him in the Jimmy Butler group of FA's that I don't really want any more. Lebron has brought enough drama to this team already.

 

The thing is, Kyrie's realized this himself, hence his apology to Lebron. With less pressure for him to lead, I think that'll open his game back up where it used to be.

Butler is a just a headcase.
