As much as I’d welcome a Kyrie-Lebron reunion in LA ... it’s stuff like this that brings me back to realizing that Kyrie is still an immature idiot sometimes.

Kyrie is singlehandedly the reason behind the media attention into his prospective free agency. He is the one fueling the rumors by openly walking back his claim that he’d re-sign, and then he goes out and blames the media.

This isn’t an issue of the media twisting Kyrie’s words. The media is just reporting his words. He’s the one digging the hole and creating the tension in his locker room.

Not that I’m complaining of course. Anything to cause mayhem for the C Bags is fine in my books.

 

Irving's a head case, imo. And he gets hurt a lot. I only want him because a) it would basically end Ainge and b) it might help Davis get here.

In truth, though, I want Kd and kyrie in ny and kawhi in la with all the kids intact. But that's extremely unlikely, so here's the red carpet, you petulant bastard!

Don't think Kyrie is an idiot. He might be purposely riling up the media. No press is bad press.

 

he's not an idiot, but he's not as sharp as he thinks he is--that much is clear from his public statements.

 

Kyrie is cool but he isnt as good as the media and he thinks he is. He doesnt move the needle even though he is talented. Its still a team game. And the C Bags seem to do better when he isnt playing.

 

eh, i wonder if you swapped him and harden if he'd put up the same (or bigger) stats and winning %. no one has used kyrie that heavily. but maybe that's because he gets hurt a lot (harden basically never does).

anyway, it's possible that he disrupts the C Bags' system (which is more like what the lakers want to do, btw) such that his lack of defense overwhelms his offense due to poor system fit. surround him with defenders and standstill shooters, and he might shine. but boston doesn't do that.

of course, neither would we.
