Anthony Davis Discussion: Only Player On Both All NBA + All Def

I’ve been thinking that for a while—whatever it takes to screw LA, and maybe even attract some Aints fans at the same time.

 

As maybe the only Louisiana guy who frequently comments here and knowing a couple media guys in New Orleans, I don’t think the Saints game has anything to do with this.

 

You have to factor in that Gayle took over everything after her husband died. I’m not even going to get into all the controversy of that family but I’ll say it makes the Buss drama look like a playground squabble.

Bottom line is that there is a new sheriff in town and she’s looking to clean things up. Few could argue that a clean house isn’t needed down there.

 

As far as not liking outside influences, well, Louisiana folks don’t like being told what to do period. Multiply that by infinity if you are a billionaire owner. Benson is aware of all the different people who had Demps ear and I hear didn’t like that. I don’t know that Ainge is really ahead of us on the dislike scale.

The pick for GM will say a lot though.

Wasn't it reported by one of the NOLA beat writers before the deadline that he was going to be fired, and that's why ownership didn't want to trade AD since they wanted to let the new GM handle that?

I'd imagine Demps was fired because he couldn't build a competitive team around Davis which led to a trade demand. I doubt it has anything to do with the Lakers or Klutch.
