Not going to lie. I like Stein. He's an unabashed Mavs fan, but I can respect that if you're up front about it. He is fair and balanced. Miss him at ESPN.

At this point we HAVE to go all in on Irving. Have LeBron send him 100 valentines if he has to.

c'mon bro, we don't HAVE to do anything. We are sitting pretty with great young talent, room for a max star, and assets to trade. We might not make noise this year, but we have a bright future. I'm glad we didn't blow it all up to appease one player who may or may not even be on the floor come playoff time.

We are NOT in a desperate situation. We are just being impatient.

I can pretty much agree with that. My stance is - both parties are at fault, the Lakers have their share of the "guilt". The Pelicans probably felt they are being forced to trade AD to us, no wonder they got pissed. Their reaction is beyond ridiculous though.

Those Wiz 2nd rounders could be high, but Niko didn't fetch a single 1st rounder as they wanted and Jules seems to also not be getting that type of haul either....good luck getting multiple 1sts for an AD rental... especially from a stingy trader like Ainge.

Pels got 16 on the roster...and if no buyouts...they still gotta make a move.

LMAO clearly the ones doing the managing are football people. Memo to NOH, this is the Pelicans not the Saints. Unlike the NFL where you can stockpile picks to trade up into the top 10 or 5. No one in the NBA gonna give up a top 10 pick for a bunch of low 1sts or 2nds.

Just leave us the 8th spot, but please kill their pick, AD.

Look out for a phantom injury at the end of the season tho.

Everyone is putting the "ticking clock" on us because of bron's age and contract. But in all reality, all of that is still speculation. If I had to bet, I would say that he intends to retire in LA and 4 years may be what is on his contract, but in todays NBA with nutrition and medical tech where it is, mid to late 30's isn't some magic age that means you absolutely have to drop off once you enter.

I'm with you about us not blowing the roster apart. Giving all those players and picks to that dumpster fire of a franchise would be all but a death sentence for all of those young players. Dell as shown he is one of the worst GM's in League. Him not taking that deal may end up being one of the worst moves he has made to date and that is saying a lot considering his shaky record.

AD will end up on the Lakers at some point. we don't have to blow our roster apart to accomplish that because, at the end of the day, FAs want to come play for us because we are the lakers and not some garbage team in a s*** city.

Our biggest obstacle in front of us now is getting these young guys to get their heads back in the game after this s*** show trade deadline drama.

Might as well. In another 17 months (max), everyone will forget the Pelicans exist.

The only thing that worries me is if the Clippers get into the mix. I think KD/Irving to the Knicks is done. I think Kawhi is going to the Clippers for some strange reason.

I think the Clippers are appealing to a low-key guy like Kawhi because you still get to live in LA, but nobody cares about you or what you do because it’s the Clippers. Zero real expectations, the media doesn’t hate you, the league won’t collude against you if you try to trade for a star like Anthony Davis, etc.
