But then we would have missed out on the unbridled joy of watching our guys score those magnificent three points...

Except Indy would’ve wanted 4 1st round picks on top of that.

Nothing matters anymore because we’re the Lakers and we pay a trade tax because of that.

F the league, take away our revenue sharing and screw small market teams, they can rot in hell.

Still don't believe Indy would have wanted that...I don't know where this stems from; give me 1 report from 1 reputable reporter that says Indy would have wanted 4 1st round picks?

If somebody has that information, I definitely wasn't privy to it...

Oh, I know that. NO never acted in good faith nor intended to trade him here. Whatever.

I was being sarcastic...I was obviously poking fun to NOLA’s demand this year.

    :Shaqsurprised2:

It was WIDELY known that Indiana did not give the Lakers the time of day or at least, asked a lot more than what other teams had offered because of Magic’s “tampering”. Like how the Pelicans are holding it over head as “revenge” as we speak, we ALL know the Pacers made it nearly impossible to trade for PG to spite the Lakers.

Yes, I believe they would have dealt PG to us; and that was our best opportunity to acquire him. I'll believe reputable reporters who thought we had a legit chance or at least were painting that narrative. Period. Nothing can or will change my mind; and trade with OKC? Why would Presti do that? That makes no sense.

Woj has recently stated multiple times that the Indy situation was no different than the Pels and Spurs, albeit to a lesser extent.

@LaVarBallsDad You honestly expected this clown to deal Paula to us? Moreover, you expected him to do Paula any favors...like getting her to the destination she was supposedly "hellbent" on?

Also dealing multiple picks for Paula in that market would make no sense. OKC didn't have to send out a single one for her.

So, we believe that NO would consummate a deal but Pritchard wouldn't? Is that the narrative now?

    Goodness.

I don't get the hate for the FO (or LeGM as he is called) here. Anthony Davis is available. He could possibly go down as another LA Lakers great big man. I love Kuz and Lonzo even Zublocka but they have "upside" while AD is already "up there." LA put it on the table, didn't short change anyone and made the moves. If the Pels don't deal with us that is the choice of the ownership of that team. It is obvious through the fines that get leveled against our team and the players associated that the league is colluding against us. No matter what the outcome is our guys did what was best for the organization.

As for the kids being shook. They haven't done anything. Guys like Kuz and BI are going to ball regardless. They will have their ups and downs. It isn't the LO thing. LO (and Pau too) had proven themselves in LA. It was a shock to those guys. The kids haven't done that at a level where they should be untouchable. That being said, I am glad they are upset. I don't want players who are happy to be on the block. Everyone gets healthy we get back in the mix. Alright that is my 2 cents.
