I’d liken this rumor mill of smoke signals and misinformation to the Dwight Howard trade fiasco. There was just constant leaks from many different sources and you didn’t know what to believe until it just happened.

Maybe we can summon the powers of Jeff Goldblum to push this trade through and end this nonsense.

We need to make a hard push for Beal for either Kuzma or Ingram. It's obvious the Pelicans aren't trading him to us now or in the off season. Beal's contract along with Lebron's will allow us to still have enough to offer AD the max in 2020. That is the only way we will get him. In the mean time, Lebron, Beal, Ingram, Ball and Zu has a puncher's chance and is a Durant ankle sprain away from being one of 5 teams who can win this season.

I have no clue how feasible this is, but that would be a great strategy. Trade a fraction of our assets for a second tier star who will make us immediately better while keeping assets and cap room for AD. I’d feel much better “punting” our cap room if we had Bradley Beal locked up.

My gut reaction though is that it’s not possible.

Correct. People were just starting to see how 'Zo can be a star until injury got him again. Even his 3 point shot looked dare I say clutch. There is a reason PHX is drooling over the idea of trading for him. Ingram has a great mid-range game and its more a matter of fit with this roster. Kuz is showing how high his ceiling can be. NO is being very foolish which suits me just fine. Lakers made a great effort to get a player they wanted and that LBJ wanted. No one can fault Magic and Rob on this one. Lets move on if NO can't stomach the criticism they would get from others for robbing us of all our young talent.

Maybe the other 'part' of the Chicago KCP deal was to acquire a pick. But what would we give them to get a 1st? Zu? I know WOJ is just pumping up the Boston ability to offer a treasure trove of picks. Right. Like that will happen this summer.

And Ramona just tweeted that the Pelicans haven’t made a proposal or counter to the Lakers’ offers. Who lying? Fitting they both work for BSPN.

FOUR first round picks? Come on, there’s dealing with good faith or integrity and then there’s this. If you want FOUR firsts you don’t get all of Kuz, Zo, and BI then, only 2. Pretty sure we did the 4 firsts thing with Nash and/or Dwight and that hurt us for YEARS. They’re acting like our players are garbage with this stuff and they are not, it’s insulting. Plus, with giving up so many players and going after 3 max guys you NEED some of your draft picks in a couple years to start to fill out the roster with cheap talent, it’s what we did with Shaq and Kobe. 2 picks is enough, 4 is ridiculous. Kyrie, Paul, George, Butler, none of these guys got a haul like that.

I’ve never read such blatant bias from ESPN in a trade than I have in this AD saga.

Woj literally hads Ainge’s hand up his bum writing whatever the little green fairy is telling him to put out.

Nothing would make me happier than to see us rip AD from their hands, but at the same, I’m okay with holding on to our youth and continuing to build towards a second max agent next summer anyways.

Screw ESPN, theyre just as bad as CNN and Fox News, just unwatchable.

No respect for Kuuuuuz going on here. Tatum or Kuuuuz? I know. But guess what Demps and all the fans of this deal _not_ going down - NO has a better chance of looking like Lakers when D12 walked than Spurs when they traded KLeonard. Let's pull the plug on this deal. Let NO look like fools.

If they don't want to deal with us then it's time to move on. A number of plan Bs have been suggested here, including trying to trade for Beal in the offseason and then perhaps 2020 FA. Or going hard for Durant, Leonard, Irving this summer.
