    I think the reports are that Pelicans have already talked directly to Ainge. I’m sure he’s indicated that Tatum will be available.

    The issue is that the Pelicans shouldn’t believe him. A lot could change between now and July.

    pels hold onto AD in hopes of getting tatum
    ainge either decides not to include tatum in a deal or to simply not trade for AD at all because of his refusal to sign in boston long term or because kyrie left
    pels are forced to trade AD to LA for a lesser offer than what was offered today

    I'm starting to get pissed. I'm with abeer at this point. Get a trade lined up for someone like Beal for like Kuzma or Ingram, go to the Pelicans and tell them they have 2 hours to take the deal or be left at the mercy of Ainge with no leverage. Beal for Kuzma, Hart and our 2019 first (plus filler) Give us a chance this season. Then go after AD in 2020. If the Pelicans aren't willing right now, we won't get him this offseasons either. I like our chances with

    Zu/McGee/Chandler
    Lebron/Melo
    Ingram/Matthews
    Beal/Matthew's
    Lonzo/Rondo

    I’m as enamored with AD as anyone, but sometimes the best deals are the ones that don’t go through.

    IF we sign a Max FA this off season I’ll be happy to go to war with two max players and lots of depth.
