If that were the case, we did our best and can’t fault The FO if this didn’t go through. Fault the collusion of teams trying to push for anyone but the Lakers.

Right now I have given up on trying to get a hold of this. I just trust Magic and Kobe's guy aka Rob to make the right choices.

Yep. If us giving up all our best prospects and taking a crap contract isn't enough, move on quickly so we can try and get something done before the deadline.

LOL. If NO doesn't take this deal and you're the owner, you get rid of the entire Front Office for incompetence...

I see our playoff chances as worse as is. We can’t win a damn game without LeBron unless we’re playing the Suns.

Ohm is in Phoenix right now. Maybe it's just a formality at this point and the deal is done, but none of the leaked deals are actually what's going down.

This guy seems legit from what I’ve read. One of the Pelicans beat writers.

Even if he was legit, it doesnt make sense with all sources point to AD not signing in Boston. They wouldn't give Tatum up for a rental.

We can get enough cap space via a Hill stretch to get roughly the player option amounts of Kawhi, Kyrie or Butler. All those guys can threaten to opt out of their player options and walk into our cap space for just one year (and not really lose the money, had they opted in) and then re-up the following year to about 30m with our availabile cap space (which is not their 30%max but close enough to it).

But for example, if Kawhi wants to come to the Lakers and threatens to do with Cp3 did in getting to the Rox, then he can opt into his 21.3m player option and force a trade by Toronto to us where they pick up Hart, Moe, Svi and/or Bonga. If we can include Hill, then great...if not then we trade Kawhi into the remaining 14.8m cap space we would have without a Hill stretch. That way we would have Kawhi's bird rights in hand and can give him more years in a max deal than the next team during the summer of 2020 (ie the Cp3 re-up deal Houston just gave him last summer).

Btw, looking at the deal as is, Lakers aggregated salary and be about 32m and could bring back 40m in incoming salary. AD/Hill aggregated is roughly 37.7m, meaning we can still legally take on 2.3m in salary still. Payton makes 3m, so he's a no go. Darius Miller makes 2.2m, so it could be him that's put in a package. Or FWilliams or Frazier cause they both are PGs. That then makes the trade a 6 for 3 and the Pels have 3 min contracts in their roster that they can choose to waive if a 3rd team doesn't get involved.

If we stretch Hill...aren't we stretching his $13M over 5 years? Wouldn't that make his cap hit only $2.6M versus $13M?
