It’s a business, so uf it made more money, I’m sure they’d invest heavier in it. As it is, they cover doctors, injuries, treatment, physical therapy, training facilities, travel expenses, hotels, flights, coaches, etc etc. I don’t think it’s a money maker, or I’m sure they’d pay more.
They should. As an investment. Farm clubs system isn’t supposed to bring in revenue. It is supposed to weed out the weak.
This is what LaVar is going to try with the select high schoolers (whatever min age they come up with) and some college kids that don't get drafted. I think. He's going to cover some better level salaries somehow. No idea how. Could be a huge money pit if it's all coming out of BBB. While he's competing with the NBA with their new setup for straight out of HS kids again. I'm skeptical.
But back to Andre .... you KNOW he is going to get a raucous, maybe even partial standing ovation when he comes out tonight. He's going to be a big news story as well to see if he can have another great game. Boy if he can it's up there in contention for one of the top sports stories of the year. Edit. Forgot it's a Clippers home game. May still get good amount of cheers from Lakers fans present.
Local ABC World News getting ready in a minute to talk about Andre Ingram's call up and game last night. Coverage is just blowing up.
At 6'3" he's an undersized guard, but he's smart and he is obviously a tremendous shooter. Hopefully we keep him around the system. Good guy and a tremendous story.
Man he's been making the rounds with his story. Great look and PR move for the Lakers. Strange seeing the media talk positives about us.
.... kinda over this now. What's he done for us lately? 2nd game 2-9 1-4 3pt ... 5 points. Use him to get rid of Deng.
