This is bad for us for two reasons: 1) Would make the Knicks worse by .05%, but still worse. 2) Another option for contenders, which limits some of our trade options for Hill.
mavs have a couple guys they could drop without feeling it much, and they are in dire need of frontcourt depth. doesn't hurt the lakers in either case, as dallas wasn't going to trade for hill.
Honestly I'm not all that curious except maybe if he landed somewhere other than Dallas. He has almost nothing left in the tank. His health is a huge issue and about 99% of the reason for his decline.
he's all but done it seems like don't think at this point he can make much of a difference for any team
He's fallen a long way, but still think he can be huge for a playoff team in need of a 3rd big in their rotation. For his standard, he's actually having a good rebounding year. You already know he's not going to give you any D. he will succeed in a p&r team, though. Still capable of 12+ & 6 in minutes just cracking over 20 a night. For the price and the ability, that's going to be big in playoff race as close as this one.
yeah, don't see why everyone's discounting his ability as a backup pf/c. especially for dallas, who's sporting camp invites, rookie second rounders, and vet mins as backup bigs.
I'm not doubting his ability necessarily, but his availability. He's been hurt just about every second for the last four years. Maybe a smaller role and a different team helps, I don't know but my money is on him not playing a whole lot.
I think Dallas's money is on him playing about 18-20mpg and sitting out some back to backs. still beats the hell out of greg smith.
