Excellent sour ale! One of the best I've had. It was almost flat, which was really disappointing, but the flavor was awesome. It's very full bodied and rich at 10%. Lots of tart white grapes. Such a big picture for, meh. Too sweet and not enough tart.
excellent sour. plenty of cherry came through. I had an almost white chocolate flavor in the back of my throat... weird and nice.
Micheladas are a favorite of mine with Mexican food.If you've never had one, they're Mexican beer (bohemia's my favorite) mixed with clamato, hot sauce, and Worcestershire I think. Anyway, I picked up a tall- boy of this expecting utter nastiness. It was extremely not bad.I'm very impressed and willbe buying anytime I bbq carne asada or fish tacos ( like tonight).
Honestly, I'm not sure Cheladas belong in this otherwise enlightening thread. My wife is Mexican, so I have been offered my fair share, after trying it twice, I can't even look at them without being angry. I finally popped open my Stone Winter Harvest. Not too bad. A little too sweet for my taste. I can deal with some sweetness, but this was teetering on the edge.
I agree, but Cheladas are more like Fancy Feast cat food. I have actually ordered burgers at steakhouses. Lone Star steakhouse has an awesome burger.
That's what I expected. the Budweiser variety is nasty, but this was not too bad. do you like a good made from scratch michelada?
Not really. I like tomato juice and Bloody Marys, but when I start fooling around with beer and tomato juice, my tongue revolts.
I'm amazed at all of the small brands that are able to distribute and sell enough product to stay in business. Unique offerings wherever you go.
Intensely chocolatey, but not overly sweet. It's probably the best chocolate flavored beer I've had. Exquisite beer. Oh, 12%
Well, it's certainly very hoppy. It's a good IPA. There's an earthiness to this that I can't place. Pecans or wet leaves? It's boozy.
I can barely tell the difference between the Budweiser and Modelo michelada. I like them both but tend to go with the Budweiser because it's a bit cheaper and has a higher ABV.
maybe I'm remembering the Budweiser beer-rita thing that was awful. maybe I've never had their michelada.
Well the Budweiser-rita series is pretty gross, but you're probably remembering correctly. My friends always tell me that the Modelo chelada is WAY better than the Budweiser one, but I just can't taste it. I've realized that I just don't have a great taste for beer. I've been drinking Bud Lites tonight and enjoying it just as much, if not more so, than the IPA's I had a few days ago
