I'm not really the kind of guy to be bothered by that kind of images, but I'm sure a lot of people are (and I can't blame them), so that might actually be better on a spoiler tag.

That said, really sad for Henry. I think there is not a single guy in this forum now that doesn't know how hard this injury is, obviously because of Kobe two seasons ago, and Henry is such a young guy. Really sad to see his career take such a hit. But what's done cannot be undone. The good thing amidst this awful injury is that he shares team with a top 2 guy in NBA history in terms of Achilles comeback (along with Dominique Wilkins). If there is a good mentor for coming back from that injury, that's Kobe, who I'm sure will be more than willing to help, assuming Xavier is more than willing to put the tremendous effort that will be needed.

Bad news for him is that there is a chance of being cut by the team, and while I'm sure Kobe will be willing to help him, it just can't be in the same personal level as if they were teammates.

Right now, I can't lie, while cutting Henry and signing Miller or someone else might be better for the team, a part of me wants the team sticking to Henry and helping him through this injury... maybe cutting him and signing him with the D-Fenders could get both things done?

Anyways, he's been horrible this season, but I think he's a good guy, and he definitely showed potential last season. Hope he gets a good recovery and manages to keep playing. He's still young.

That picture is pretty gruesome if you wouldn't mind putting a spoiler tag on it that would be great!

Very sad news for X and I wish him all the best.

I agree about that picture. Too graphic for my taste. As far as X's injury, which completely sucks, now we are in the NBA injury exception territory that Doc posted an article about in another thread. We have 4 players with injuries that are going to make them unavailable for a long time - 3 are done for the season and one (Kelly) is gone for 6 weeks. We should petition for that injury exception which adds a roster spot (16th spot).

Truly a classy move, Lakers showing the league and it's players that they will take care of their own, even if they've only been here a year or two.

What a great gesture. That reminds me of when Jerry Buss paid for Ronny Tyriaf's heart surgery.
