He's bigger than I thought. Nice to see the in-game athleticism. I don't know how much I will be cheering when he starts bricking 3's, but if he can help a little, that will be better than expected from myself.
he's pretty close to anunoby's size, so he's big for a wing player, and like anunoby, he's agile enough to defend a lot of sgs. it will come down to health and hoop iq. if he has both, he's basically anunoby (though it could be argued anunoby doesn't have consistent availability). anyway, we clearly thought he was worth moving up for a couple times, so i'm guessing he'll get a legit shot at developing here. i say this to contrast with jhs, who we clearly kind of settled for after the guys we liked were taken, then kind of left him chained up on the back of the truck. perhaps for good reason, but i think part of it was the organization never really believed. i think they believe thiero has something.
^^^ different time frame. The Eagle was already gone. They kept THT (Klutch) and balked at the extra 20M or more in penalty tax that would have been added to AC’s salary.
The problem was not THT. THT was a risky prospect but he had a lot of potential. The problem is that took Nunn. They should have ditched Nunn and just paid Caruso the extra 4 million. Regardless this was the one clear example of the Lakers cheaping out during the Buss family era. GS would have just paid the tax hit Nunn bothered me a lot more then THT as he was a smallish PG who was in and out Spoelstras doghouse. Red flag off the bat is he couldn't get consistent minutes with a coach who is known for squeezing performance out of lemons
