looking at a lot of guys who probably won't be drafted, which is interesting.

as a zona fan, i like kadeem allen's defensive potential. i think he could be an nba player. same with alkins. big, physical guards who will just need to prove they can knock down a three. and neither is unskilled offensively (like our boy nwaba, god love him).

I think they're looking at potential LA Defenders players which I like. I read on Silver Screen and Roll where Colby Karl has been in attendance scouting too.

Went through today's list and Jamel Artis is veeeeery interesting.

Pitt senior, 6'7" and 210 pounds. He improved his three ball significantly last season and has a smooth, repeatable stroke with NBA range. Pitt had him playing point at times and while he's not really suited for it, he has pretty good vision. He's got more effort and fire than physical talent, but could be an interesting find. He's the kind of guy who could really blow up in a GS system. Oh and he dropped 43 on Louisville.

In this video, those moves he puts on the Louisville defender, the defender is Donovan Mitchell who DraftExpress has going in the Top 15 of the draft. Mitchell is touted as one of the better guard defenders in the draft. Just saying.

    This kid looks interesting:

Has a Gerald Green mold with his athleticism and physical profile, good jumper. Played international after HS so he may go under the radar.

Hell yeah he is. First thing you can see is he's coordinated and smooth with decent handles aready for a young player and has that nice stroke. THICK. Do we have a shot at him at 28? Though it sounds like they're looking for a stretch big. But I bet Artis runs the push the ball back and forth up the court and shoot it drill today a lot more smoothly and effective looking than anyone yesterday.

I was watching a practice vid yesterday of Russ shooting the 3, and said to my self "is the Cobe Karl feeding him for the 3's?", so yes, Cobe is there. Makes more sense why if they're looking for Defenders players out there.

He's expected to be a 1st rounder in DE and he's got decent buzz already. His athleticism pops off the screen, but he is intensely raw. He plays sped up, careless, and frankly stupid. He takes bad shots and while he has defensive potential, he hasn't learned enough fundamentals defensively with his footwork and timing.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's there at #28, but it wouldn't surprise me if someone took him in the teens either.

Sounds like Gerald Green lol, which mean he may slip to the second round.

It does, but Gerald was the #18 pick! So there's a lot of room for someone to take the shot. I posted it in the larger thread, but I think Ferguson goes somewhere in the late teens or twenties to a team who wants to take a long-shot.

Russell, JC, Randle, Ingram, Nance, Zubac, Black, Ennis, Nwaba, and whoever we take with the 2nd pick are all under 25 years old. I know not every one of these players will be on the roster next season, but the point remains we are young. I don't see a need to add TWO more 19-22 year olds to our team on a guaranteed contract. The 28th pick needs to be traded.

I expect us to make a move. I agree that we've got plenty of youth right now.

I wouldn't trade it for a 30 year old ball hog, but I would try and use it to dump Mozgov or Deng. I'm not sure Deng is tradable, but I think Mozgov still is.

I am 100% in favor of trading the #28 pick. I like this draft. I think it's a fairly deep draft in terms of NBA talent that can stick with a team...

So I'll use that value and try to unload Deng. I'll include an extremely protected 1st rounder too (that'll eventually dissolve into a 2nd rounder). Something like Deng/#28/2020 1st (Top 28 protected).

I dont see issues keeping the pick, brewer/black/young maybe ennis as well might not be in the future plans, we need more cheap talent n besides we don't have a 1st in 18' now...also we're not a team that gets cheap good ring chasing vets to sign either
