That's all based on assumptions. I've been following for too long of a time to know assumptions don't always work. Hell, we already had Randle and Ball traded and no one was talking about it.

Duren, Kessler, Watson, Eason, etc haven't signed yet.
A lot can happen. I prefer to let it play out and evaluate after. Let's talk around July 10

I think we are going for a big swing. If it works or not, we shall see

Issue with RFA is that you can only make an offer on July 6 and the incumbent team has until July 8 to match. If they match, you're 8 days into the FA and a lot of guys have already signed contracts and you're left with less options

i think this is the plan. we've tried to work a trade, and they've said no. so we'll make the offer. they'll probably match, then rob shall scramble. i'm guessing he has a backup plan, but i fear it's probably worse than just "bring the boys back", actually.

the good news for the rob haters is that that will be the end of his tenure.

If our plan is RFA’s, we are up to the mercy of the team who they’re locked too. Everyone of those guys can match and would probably do so to spite us.

If they don’t, it’s probably not at a good salary for us to sign those guys anyway.

I would say a Randle dump was known to everyone. Just like some of the other stuff we are saying now that are all assumptions. The ball thing took me by surprise though.

This isn’t entirely how it works. Free Agency starts 6pm June 30th. At midnight - 12.01 am on July 1st, we can submit an RFA offer and the original team has 48 hours to match.

So we effectively only lose the first 54 hours of free agency. This is still the most critical part, but teams use to have a full week to match.

That date - the 6th, is when the moratorium period ends and they can begin formalising contracts officially.

Remember last year how our top C targets were Lopez and Capela? Don’t believe a word of anything from the media right now. So much is speculation and misdirection.

It’s possible we go after guys like Robinson and Williams, but regardless of what anyone thinks about our FO, we have years of evidence that they don’t leak actual free agency plans.

How bout Detroit stringing it out with their allotted time to match and screwing us from the other options that disappear in the meantime. Remember Leonard? That’s a big risk. BUT Rob’s always had plans B and C for fallback. I’m in @svtzr ’s camp with improvement on 2 or 3 slots depth wise, another Big to complete 3 man rotation, and our Big 3 IF LeBron cooperates. Your arguments against them are WEAK considering the option of losing LeBron’s talent. And ideally one starting caliber or close POA player to replace Smart or back him up in the starting lineup.

LOL. You have dreams of Duren, huh? With the way he just got punked physically by Wendell Carter Jr, and our newly signed Austin, who gets punked defensively, you think that's a good combination? Plus, I don't think he's realistic. As I've said, Kessler is probably more obtainable, but it will cost you.

Build these contracts in such a way that you can work with the player or have the flexibility to flip at the deadline if you notice it isn't working. In other words, stop handing out the PO on these contracts.

"Naz Reid is a big man the Lakers have strong interest in, sources said, but the Charlotte Hornets have not expressed to teams that they will make him available after being involved in the LaMelo Ball trade," Siegel wrote.

worth a first? he torched us last year in the playoffs.

We added a 3-D his name is Cameron Carr. We don’t have to go crazy. We have Adou Thiero who’s stepping up. Thyblle Carrs probably better. Definitely a better shooter.

bring Smart back call it a day.

bring Ayton back bring Hayes back sign either Williams or Robinson. Your Center issue is solved.

I’ve been saying this. Lob threat Williams Robinson still with Hayes and Ayton. You need the Center that can score Ayton.

you were never getting Gafford or Duran or Kessler you have to pay a huge trade dividend the Lakers don’t want to do that.

they want to save picks to acquire a big star. I’d rather them wait then do something stupid and have an egg on their face.

Would you guys be open to those 2 picks being traded for Kevin Durant???? So just wait we gotta see.

maybe we get a Demar Derozan off of the buyout market also.

we can still sign a Precious a Marvin Bagley as flyer guys. And still get athletic. You’d really oppose Marvin Bagley and Mitchell Robinson with Ayton and Hayes still in the fold come on now.

Jokic still hasn’t signed his extension yet.
