Vanderbilt, Knecht, 2031 Wizards 2nd to the Bucks for Kuzma and Sims makes some sense.

-Remove Vando's contract. Able to use NTPMLE and the BAE next season with the salary savings.

-Kuzma is a stop gap power forward for young players, such as Thiero and Kaluma.

-Sims is a lob threat and rebounding back up center.

-Bucks save 6.5 million of payroll this season plus get a trade exception, two 2nds, and a look at Knecht. Vando a vet leader for their young guys, they could shop him next season as an expiring.

What I can’t stress is continuity players liking each other. That’s probably why OKC won. It’s why the Knicks won. They all like each other.

now you still gotta play and hope everybody can play. But liking each other gets it done.

I can say everybody on this team likes each other. I don’t know if I could say that last year. People had agendas we have none of that. We had the Reaves stuff the LeBron stuff. The Smart stuff. The Ayton stuff. Who’s gonna be here? All that s***. The extra stuff. You said this about me on a podcast.

now to take something from the 2004 Boston Red Sox were just a bunch of idiots.

all I hear is team. You set the tone. I’ll run through a wall for these guys.!!!!!! That’s what wins for you in June.

    Walker Kessler

    Luka Doncic

    Austin Reaves

    Bronny James

    Cam Carr

    Dalton Knect

    Vando

    Quentin Grimes

    Mamu

    Adou Thiero

    Thybulle

    Colin Sexton

    Jake LaRavia

    Kevin Looney.

    Zaire Williams

We’re just a bunch of idiots but we’re gonna show up for each other and we all like each other.

Instant F from me for even entertaining the thought of bringing Kuzma back, even worse, giving assets for him. :D

I honestly would rather roll with Vando or Thiero as starters. At least they can play defense at a high level.

Scoring shouldn't be a problem for this team even with a 4 doesn't do much offensively, so I'd rather have that than a 4 who's primarily a scorer, especially one as inefficient as Kuzma.

I've never been a huge fan of the player, but there are benefits to this trade.

-Kuzma is a stop gap power forward. Shoots, rebounds, and defends good enough. Really only needs to play abouy 18 minutes. After the season, Lakers could simply let him walk or sign for vet min. Thiero or Kaluma should be ready by then. If not, there are also the exceptions in a deep free agent class.

-Sims is an athletic freak at center. Back up center that makes sense. Could spot start when Kessler sits, more similarities and doesn't disrupt the rotation much, leaving Mamu as the back up.

-Getting Vando off the books ensures the full MLE and BAE to use next off-season fir the aforementioned deep free agent class. This part is valuable. DfS was expiring and it took 3 seconds to dump him.

-Only gave up two 2nds. Still would have the 33 2nd and 32 swap. Could look to upgrade again at the deadline, similar to how we maneuvered on Draft Days to get to Thiero and Carr.

Yeah, I still think we just have to do business with the Mavs

PJ and/or Gafford would solve a lot of our issues and leave us with a solid rotation

it's not that PJ is an amazing player, but he is a good fit, and probably the Mavs would take our 2nds and our trash for him.

Same can't be said for almost any other option that is a decent fit.
