not sure how much truth to any of the rumors, but the story today is that the talk between charlotte and the kings stalled in part because charlotte didn't want to include its two mid-1sts this year. which...wow. same piece was like "kings also had interest in toronto's 19th pick, but not sure if they're still interested in sabonis". gotta say, tons of pau parallels here--international big in small market who tears it up and is the toast of the town, team hits adversity, everyone thinks he's not good all of a sudden. someone should buy low there. plus, it's sacramento...just fleece them mofos. so mad sac hates us.

Sabonis had a huge impact on the Kings when he was traded there. It didn't work out, but they were pretty good for a while.

I like the idea of pairing Sabonis with another big who can make up for his defensive shortcomings. I suggested Timelord but doesn't have to be him. Portis could be another target, cost controlled and likely will be traded this summer.

Sabonis/Portis would be a similar two-punch as KAT/OG, but I think Sabonis is a better player than KAT overall.

this would mean we would have to let Rui go (especially if Lebron stays), but the fact apart from being an elite shooter, Rui is a limited player, so it is what it is.
