D'Anthony can't stay healthy, though... it's the only reason he will be had for cheap. I'd say go for CP3 but he's a defensive liability and if the rumors are he wants a starting job, maybe he can find one with the Guangdong Tigers.... because no NBA team will start a 40 year old PG and not develop their younger guards.

"De'Anthony Melton has played in varying numbers of games each NBA season. In his rookie year (2018-19), he played 50 games. He then played 62 games in the 2019-20 season, 51 in 2020-21, and 73 in 2021-22.In the 2022-23 season, he played 77 games. In the 2023-24 season, he played 38 games due to injury."

Last season, only played in 6 games. I could see that as a concern. I'd be cool with a minimum.

Melton will only get a minimum.

I gave a list of all the top Centers add up their salaries all are getting paid.

Then look what we’re paying Ayton 15 and 10 look what Gafford got.

Ayton 2 yrs. 16 million. For Rob with my favorite thing I mentioned in that deal. That coveted player option.

very nice contract on the timeline to see what Jokic does. Lebron can be happy.

you didn’t get bullied into a DFS contract that would’ve tied you up for four years.

you gotta love Laruvia and Ayton for what we got them for.

I think you bring Hayes back. Everybody likes him in the locker room.

Fill out your roster with Simmons and Melton and call it a day.

Very very good off season for Rob Pelinka. I like the direction he has this team headed.

Ayton is 5 years younger then AD Luka is 5 years younger then AD he did the best to try to retool this team on the fly.

while at the same time keeping LeBron and the roster in tact.

    thats magical.

Danny Ainge still on that pipe asking for two first rounders and a young player for Kessler. Imagine being at his hands trying to deal with him. Yikes,

Their ya go Ainge C Bags Lakers how’s that grab you???

got a new word for you Danny. Buyout!!!!!!!

It’s hard to stay patient while watching the players we need getting scooped up by other teams while we flounder and let guys like DFS, for whom we paid with meaningful assets, walk for nothing.

There will always be more guys NOT signing with us than signing. So the offseason must be really stressful to you man

Who have we lost in these 3 days that is messing with your sleep?

I was disappointed to see DFS go, but getting Ayton, LaRavia and whoever get with the BAE is undoubtedly better.

    I want Richards.
Although JJ might want to seek a big wing that enables the small-ball. Not sure he wants 2 big centers, but I do

We need to use these expirings to find a wing. If we're using Rui in a trade, I'm switching Bron to the 4. A starting caliber SF can switch 2-4 & will be tasked with the more difficult matchup each night. It's almost a must with this roster as constructed, particularly the starting group

For the minimum. That's what likely will happen.

Is Horford official yet or just Simmons reporting it? I mean I assume he’ll go there. But we’re the better team.

Get us Melton as the POA. And then look for a trade that can bring us a wing defender.

If Bron is traded to Cle, I am ok with it. Hope for it actually.

    41. Chucks a lot. Doesn’t play D most of the reg season. Don’t want the drama of a farewell tour with Luka in his prime. Amazing what he does at his age, for sure, but West is too good for what he takes up on the roster.

Would love for AR and Rui (or other) and pick for Jaylen Brown.

Bron sees the Leastern Conference - no Tatem. No Haliburton. No Dame. No Jimmy. Cavs easy path.

    Luka
    Brown
    Hunter
    Ayton
    Allen
    Moravia
    Gabe
    Vando
    Goodwin
    Theiro
    Milton
    DK
    Maxi
    Etc.

Lots of talent for JJ. All positions locked up - esp if they keep Rui. Much much better team than Luka took to finals two years ago.

the missing piece is an athletic perimeter defender (or two) who isn't a total zero on offense. those are hard to find. i keep mentioning keon ellis, but he may not be available, so we have to scour the league for someone in this mold.

okogie may be cut and could be interesting at the minimum, but we need better than that. young kcp type.

what we have working for us is that this player doesn't have to be a creator nor an excellent ballhandler. just a fast, fierce defender who can knock down an open shot enough to not be completely ignored.

i wonder if the bulls would let dalen terry go for nothing. maybe some deal involving gabe and knecht for dosunmu and terry?

i don't think he wants to be traded. i think it's a point of pride that he's never been traded. i think he's just mad he lost power here. he may exercise it by leaving in FA next year, but we've kind of taken a "don't throw me in that briar patch" stance there (it's not a 2027 plan; it's a 2026 insurance plan).

Which players that we need and in our range were scooped up?

And I’m sorry, but “floundering?” We swapped 32 year old DFS on a 4 year deal for Ayton, at less money on a 1 year deal, and Laravia. I do that without hesitation.

btw, if i read our situation right, we can't use the BAE and have 15 players on the roster. i still think we'll make some sort of trade before the summer's over. maybe a minor one, but i'd be surprised if just using the BAE was it.

Was thinking Saddiq Bey from Washington; makes a little more than $6 million
