Oh God, spare us the virtue signaling. Don’t turn this place into that s***hole lakersground.net.

The mods took that crap out years ago for a reason. We didn’t need a dissertation on how great of a person you are.

    Why do you think this?
I don’t know the man never seen him speak before so I will give him the benefit of that.If someone who knows him(family,Friends) come out with something of the sort then I can give that opinion credence

the manner of speaking in the videos. i'm a psychologist. the guy doesn't seem ok at all. donovan's quote seems to be strongly hinting at this.

Making this about free speech seems to be more about the culture warriors than what the Bulls were seeing. The statements from the team is that he had become a problem in the locker room and his rants were not just about guys but also about Catholics etc and he was going on screeds about his love of apple pie? It should be noted he was a healthy scratch before the release so things had spilled over. This seems similar to Kanye where he's making all sorts of bizarre statements and now it turns out his mental health was in the toilet and there was all sorts of issues going on.

Scalia once wrote freedom of religion didn't mean freedom from religion and similarly, freedom of speech doesn't mean you don't get to live without the consequences of speech. In this case I would look at the totality of speech not just headlines which get the clicks

I hope he gets helps as he's a talented player

I think Irwin made the point that the Ayton/Hayes center combo has had this weird trait as neither seems to play well in the same game. It feels like if one is hot the other turns off (I could see the psychology behind this - not going to get many minutes tonight if the other dude is hot).

This seems to be getting better since Ayton got his head out of his a**? That could be big as if both can play well let alone at their best in the same games the center combo becomes a legit threat that other teams have to accoutn for. Big difference from last year and even frankly over large stretches of the regular season. That's one position that went from a negative to one that can win you some games in the playoffs

Imo if you give both give theses guys a consistent 20-24 mpg you are good. Last night, Ayton had 22, and Hayes had 20. That's not too bad. Can't expect constancy if you are giving them inconstant minutes.

Exactly. I haven't heard the comments, so I don't know how "bad" they actually were.bI feel like even if you just said you disagreed with all of that in respectful way, you're still done for. It is interesting what is tolerated and what isn't for owners. It all boils down to public outrage, and comments like those will cause that more than DV, or OUI's, it seems.
