Denver is having a really good summer (really irritated at the impossible West getting even better...SA, Dallas, HOU, DEN). Denver went from being out in the cold and Joker a year away from leaving or retiring (the horses are calling) to really injecting quality back into the team. Cam, Brown and Jonas are all steals for what they paid and the roles they'll play on the team. Remember they were rolling out the corpse of Deandre Jordan to backup Joker for multiple years.

I definitely see Dame Lillard signing with the L.A. clippers. That makes way too much sense.

If it's Ayton + Horford, I'm ok with that. Al can help teach him some professionalism. I'd prefer to keep Al on ice until the playoffs.

If it's just Horford...God help us.

Man, we would be smart to try and get Dame if we want Giannis. I know that’s a “dead spot” on the roster, but still.

but yeah, Ayton and Horford somehow would be a good off-season. Seems like two good, capable Centers to work off of Luka and LeBron.

    Al Horford????? Al Horford??????

if he’s the starting Center LeBron go win somewhere else. What a lob threat.

Al Horford will give you three great games and then sit for a week.

so if you think Laker fans are going to accept that and Jaxson Hayes you’re a joke and go take that somewhere else.

With the two year plan. Go sign Chris Mihm while you’re at it.

and sale us Horfords a championship player. Horfords a vet a professional yeah that was with Kristoff Porzingis.

OKC just won with Chet Holmgren better figure it out.

it's funny; if i knew horford was going to continue his run of absolutely miraculous health with us, i'd take him over ayton, but i don't believe for a second that this happens. we need to just sign ayton and move forward. kessler or duren or claxton or whomever we're chasing will likely still be there later (or someone else), and at least we won't be out there center-less negotiating again.

2 days ago, I thought there was a chance Jokic would consider going somewhere else or asking for a trade in a year or 2, based on his negative comments after the playoffs, plus Denver's decline over the past few years and then blowing up the FO and coach. After yesterday and today, I no longer think so. Depressing how much better Denver got. They were always a semi-contender due to Jokic, Murray, and Gordon, but bad FO moves had depleted them of their 6th-8th men. Now they get their 6th man back, upgrade their 4th man into a 3rd man, and add a solid 7th man backup C to Jokic so they're not putrid when he's off the court. Sigh. Denver, OKC, Houston big 3 in the West.

Meanwhile Milwaukee is screwing things up even more, so I guess we still have a chance at Giannis in a year or 2. I'm glad he doesn't seem like he's moving anywhere else this summer, bc that means we have a chance at him in the near future. He has a PO in 2027 which means he can outright sign anywhere then, which means he can easily force a trade next year for cheap (relative to his value). If we could somehow get assets for LeBron (any assets at all, to preserve the salary slot, instead of him retiring or leaving for nothing) and trade those assets plus picks for Giannis (who would otherwise threaten to outright sign here in 2027), then we could have a roster of Luka, Giannis, Reaves, plus some depth, instead of having to trade Reaves + depth for Giannis or another star.

yeah, denver just killed the last couple days, and that SUCKS for us. both sac and bkn did some headscratching stuff to make it happen, too, imo.

generally sucks that houston has been so successful in the offseason so far, too.

the teams that finished at the top last year all got richer, save minny, who lost NAW (but i think they won't feel that as much bc i think shannon is going to step in to that role).

at least gs has also been floundering, he says to himself, tempting fate.

Luka and Giannis coud work. I'd prefer Ant or Wemby but i'll settle on the Greek.
