i didn't realize the picks are pretty worthless ones. thought they had given up some of their own

it's not as bad of a move as i first thought. they'll be an interesting team to watch, but not like they're going to be contending for an east title or anything even close to it

 

I agree with all of this.
If we don’t build properly around Luka and Austin this summer, I’m going to be pissed.
The problem we have right now is that Rob has done a poor job managing our lesser talent for years and we’ve literally had no young players anyone wants, except for Austin.
We had to attach assets to get rid of Westbrick, lost the three seconds for a DFS rental, and let valuable pieces like Goodwin and The Eagle just walk out the door.
You can’t expect other teams to give up good players for our trash every year.
Rob has been good at picking up players on the buyout market, but you can’t expect to build a Championship level squad by doing this year after year.

 

this instructive, but not for the reason you think it is (letting him walk was smart, it was the trading three seconds that wasn't--and that's what everyone wants us to do with a first right now).

 

If all the teams with space are trading out of it, it tells me they've gotten solid Intel there won't be anyone worth going after this summer.
