I'd try to trade our 31 pick unprotected, to OKC for Dort and their 2 firsts, in this upcoming draft. They can't keep everyone, and adding two more first round draft picks, just makes their roster even more crowded. They have Caruso and Wallace so losing Dort isn't that big of a loss.

 

i'm guessing they want someone who can help them now AND is on an expiring (like vucevic). we'll see what they can get. i just can't imagine them keeping him past the deadline, though. that's gone on long enough.

btw, i wonder if butler's injury might make them willing to trade kuminga + for lavine and ellis.

i would, too, but i'm guessing they'd try to keep one of their firsts out of it. also, they'd want to move dort to any other cap space team. we'd be last on the list.

 

Why isn’t anyone talking about Cleveland as a trade partner? That’s the team most in need of expiring contracts.Would probably need a third team though

 

Cause they aren't dealing Mobley. Hunter can't stay healthy (otherwise I'd be interested). We have Luka and Austin, so no Spider. No thanks to Garland.

Maybe there's something there with Allen, but haven't seen his name come up outside of rival teams speculating/ circling the waters. Salary wise you could do Allen and Lance for Rui and DK for a dollar for dollar match. I just think he'll cost you a pick (heavily protected 1st or multiple 2nds that we don't have) and with such a glaring need for a long term wing solution, I don't think we can spend that draft capital on a big.

You'd also need to flip DA for something in that scenario
