I would like to see Rui increase his three-point volume a little bit more. I mean, he has quietly increased his volume to around 2/5 threes the past two seasons per 36 minutes, which is good, and on very good accuracy. He will likely drop to 35-38% if he does significantly increase his volume, but that is more than okay. I mean, if he could hit 3/8 threes per 36 minutes, that would be phenomenal for spacing.

I think it's tricky because he's purely a catch and shoot guy. Austin's three point attempts have more than doubled since the 2023 season despite him only playing 6 more minutes per game in large part because he has the ball in his hands more and takes off the dribble threes. When you're a catch and shoot guy, you can really only take as many threes as the defense allows you to take. We get Rui more three point attempts by getting Luka/Austin/LeBron to collapse the defense more, which I think will happen now that we have a better P&R partner for them in Ayton.

Wiggins being close to retiring had nothing to do with his physical and all to do with his mental. I could totally see him retiring for mental health reasons. Hes been through a lot and that has hurt his on court game.

I couldn’t trade a player like Rui for a player like Wiggins. I’m all for advocating for players mental health but with Wiggins it’s very dicey to trade a player for him not knowing when Wiggins just might not be able to play.

I’d trade Knect and a pick 2031 unprotected first round pick for him Gabe Vincent.

but we can’t trade a major rotational player for Andrew Wiggins. That would really nock the team off course if he can’t play for an extended period of time. Or decides he’s won a championship made enough money in basketball and wants to hang them up. Great player does a lot. But not sure how much he plays. Gotta make sure you’re getting a player who will be in the lineup.

Like I’m all for sitting players during it.

sitting LeBron for sure. I’m not trying to go hard so my main guys can be maxed out with the psychological of trying to win a championship cup that’s a mid season participation trophy.

if it were me. I’d be maximizing the young guys. Seeing what I got for the stretch run.

guys like Thiero Knect I’ll play Ayton and Luka big minutes and Reaves and Hachiumura.

But LeBron smart they can chill. Any opportunity I can sit LeBron I’m going to try to do it.

give the winnders of the NBA cup more home games and take them away from the worst teams with the best lottery odds.
We can't get Euro type relegation but the NBA should try to add some pain for losing and truly good stuff for winners.

Sick fo the perennial tanking and teams who just want to be mediocre to collect the checks for the owners (here's looking at you Chicago)
