his career averages are 10/3/2 on 44/37/76 shooting. he's basically been a net negative on advanced stats every year in every place except for the 28 games he played with philly last year, and his defense has steadily slipped.

i like him, but i'd be wary of committing large long-term money to him.

No we replaced him with Finney-Smith, and didn't look back. We got Luka later. A lot of bloggers and YOU, didn't expect him to fall off a cliff either. s*** happens.

Shrug ...LeBron and AD were both healthy, and playing together, for the majority of Tinkerbell's 2nd stint here too. That s*** still matters.

I feel you, but sometimes opportunity is all these kids need. You should expect talent, to progress in their careers. The light bulb goes on at different times for different players. This could very well be his moment to level up.

getting Luka was incredible. Because we got the superstar scorer first. We always get the scorer first we got Kobe first. That was the hard one to get.

Then we got the big Ayton who was gifted to us. Same age. Same agent. So they really can grow together. And he was gifted to us. Very unique.

just marinate on this Laker nation. I want you to go on YouTube rewatch the first round of the 2018 draft. Just rewatch the first 5 picks.

and think this We got number 1 pick Deandre Ayton and oh we got number 3 pick Luka Doncic who was traded to 5 they all they both play in purple and Gold.

2018 the year we got Lebron James. So we got all that in a cycle. You say Damn good work Lakers.

so ultimately Anthony Davis a championship. Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball and Josh Hart

turned into Luka Doncic and Deandre Ayton.

    good work.

How much was Westbrook owed if he opted in this off season?

Man..Luka changed everything. The evaluation of the players, the coaching staff, the FO. Everything

I really like Austin, Rui and Jarred, my three favorite players on the team...but now we have Luka. I look at everything differently now.

I really don't KNOW what works best, around Luka here. I hope it involves those 3 kids and Ayton, but I'm open to change, if that's not the case. Lebron is outta here, very soon IMO. I'm taking a "show me what you got" approach, with everyone moving forward.

I don't want to burn Luka's prime, and to me, this is his prime, I really don't expect him to be another Lebron, balling at an All NBA level at 40. Let's get it...right now!

What’s all the Jrue Holiday talk about? I love Jrue and wanted to get him a couple years ago before the C Bags swiped him. But now? I don’t see the point. He makes $37 million and he’s 35. No thanks.

Yeah, Holiday is a bit redundant with Smart now. That might be stale news from before Smart got bought out.

i'm still not really sure what portland's up to. i know folks are going gaga over chinese jokic or whatever, but i'm not as sold on that front (and i'm not sure about having two developing centers, even if they're complementary), and the holiday trade really didn't make sense to me on any level. nobody's giving you assets for him like they did last time, and you're not ready to win now--by the time you are, he won't be, but will still be paid a lot. then you add lillard on top of it at not insignificant money...just not sure about these things.

I think they want Lillard and Holiday in the building to mentor Scoot and Sharpe. I get that, but that's a pretty expensive mentoring program.

This is all over the past 24 hours. https://www.si.com/nba/lakers/news/...llion-all-star-nba-champ-in-blockbuster-trade
    and https://sports.yahoo.com/article/lakers-viewed-potential-destination-elite-134939164.html and https://www.newsweek.com/sports/nba/lakers-linked-potential-trade-2-time-all-star-guard-2101494.

All about Jrue but man, that's way too much contract to take on and we've already addressed POA guard defense. Sure Jrue can handle bigger wings but why would we use all our assets on a 35 year old with that kind of contract? Makes zero sense. I love the other trade floated for Timelord and Thybull though. That actually would be great.

    and they still have Grant?

Odd team - some killer moves like Camara and Avidja trades (the Avidja one pains me as he is one I previously posted prior ot the trade that the Lakers should move on when him when he was with Washington: worth spending assets based on his age and skillset) and I love Chinese Bill Walton.

But then they get Holiday and Lillard just when Scoot looks like is turning the corner (PG's sometimes take a long time to develop his coach is a great example of one), haven't moved Grant, have Robert Williams on top of the two young centers. What's the point of Thybulle on that team?

    Talk about schizophrenic

it's like two timelines but the current one is meant to be s***ty and expensive. i think they think holiday/lillard is like fvv in houston, but a) fvv was much younger (and not injured), and b) it was a short-term contract, structured as an early overpay and reworked to a more reasonable amount.

f***ing A Houston! KD must've told you he ain't guarding anyone this year.

And regarding Portland, if they want to come off Holiday here's a deal I'd do

    Holiday, Thybulle, Camara, Reath

    For

    Rui, Gabe, Kleber, Vando, 1st

They get expirings, a 1st, take on a bad contract but one 1/3 the size of Holiday's. We become elite defensively when you blend that into our current roster. If they want some version of that with Dalton, I'd do that too.

.00001% that happens, especially with Portland of all teams but that's my offer.

Also opens up enough $ to go after BPA remaining in FA

The bubble chip was the hardest championship of all time.

Anyone who says otherwise is just a hater. :p
