I think some in here need to acknowledge that Rob did an excellent job so far this summer.
You know I’m not the biggest Ayton fan, but even I have to admit he’s the best possible option sans trading a bunch of assets for a mid tier big.

I’ve pivoted on Knecht after seeing his play in summer League. I think his only way back to confidence is playing for another club.

Rob did a phenomenal job. We cannot complain. He did everything we wanted and more.

    Center/Ayton

didn’t give Finney Smith 4 yrs. 32 got his replacement younger /Laravia 23

got the perimeter defender to help replace Finney Smith and actually play guard on the perimeter and defend the perimeter guards/Smart

Rob worked the buyout market getting buyouts on players we had to have Ayton and Smart what would we have had to give up for them in a trade???

Rob got all these guys on two year deals.

but all you’ll hear on sports talk radio were Lakers were searching the bottle of the barrel.

meanwhile Adams got 3 yrs. 39 million. And Capella got 3 yrs. 40 million respectively.

And teams went crazy and over paid Look what we did???? Rob’s a savage.

I think that'll be Gabe now that we have Smart. I believe Klieber will get some burn as stretch 5 off the bench. Unless there is some really obvious and great trade to be made that needs his salary.

Idk..We'll see..Gabe played in more games last season, than Smart has in his last 3 combined. It's prudent to hold on to Gabe IMO. Id be nervous coming out of training camp, with just Smart and Bronny at PG.

Kleber? Still unimpressed with his history, I thought Hayes played pretty well in his role last season. He's earned first dibs, on the back up burn IMO.

I know Maxi had a little run, a few years back in Dallas, but Gabe was the starting PG on a team that went to Finals more recently.
