Last night's game was AWFUL. I had the entire game on, but most of the second half I had to cover my eyes and watch behind cracked fingers. We have ONE point guard on the roster. Brilliant! And DNP'ed him to ensure we got the sloppiest, ugliest, most discombobulated version of an offense we could muster. -Queta WORKED CC. -Knecht didn't have the most efficient night, but I like what I saw in the final 1 1/2 quarters. He's for real...at least offensively. -Bronny liked the defense, offense...eek! At least he hit one shot. I wish he'd step inside to shoot and give up on the 3 ball until he gets something...anything going in terms of a jumper. -Hinson found the basket again! Shocker. Still sucks at everything else. -Lewis...I don't even know what to say. He's got a lot to work on for the next 365 days. We moved up to draft him. He needs to slow down and not look like a drunk squirrel who is trying to walk after spinning in place with his eyes closed for 60 seconds straight. -Traore had a couple nice high energy plays, his successful baseline drive was the most energy i saw in the building outside of Knecht getting fancy and the crowd celebrating Bronny's 1 make. -some around here will consider this a hot take, but Moses Brown is better than Castleton and we need to invest accordingly.
Browns had several nba chances and failed to make good. Better than Castleton is a low bar. We need a guy better than both combined lol. Traore is a good two-way signing, imo. Hinson is not.
LeBron ,I mean Bronny got his 1st 3 pointer as a Laker he's going to score in double digits. He already has 9 points. Career is going in right direction, haters BTW 1st pick from Atlanta didn't played ,already afraid Bronny leading all scorers from both teams at half time
No Knecht, no fun. This team summer league is awful. Bronny can be a Avery Bradley type but Avery Bradley types aren't going to shine in summer league. Maxwell Lewis has talent but he's an awful decision maker. Someone needs to get in his head that his future first is going to be a 3 and D type. Castelton is a great passer and that's about it.
This actually has been a pretty fun game, Bronny made some nice shots, finally made an 3, Castleton has hit some nice shots, Hinson hit 3 threes in a row in the 3rd in a fun little run. JJ and Lindsey Harding are watching courtside too. The team sucks, but it’s been a more competitive game than the others, we led most of the time, the Hawks just pulled ahead a bit ago and have stayed there. It’s pretty amazing that we as a franchise can’t ever put together a summer league roster that can shoot threes either though, it’s like we just don’t have the ability, we have 7 threes tonight to the Hawks 12, it seems so effortless for other teams.
Castleton with double -double 17 points 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Bronny 12 points and it's a 1st victory of the summer league.look out
Bronny: look at you! First 3... not one, but two made 3s in this one. First mic'ed up game, coaching up teammates on the bench. First technical foul. You can tell games they emphasize they want him to be aggressive offensively. Difference this time is it was a much more controlled, calmed offensive attack. Seeing the first one drop always helps, too. Castleton: you can pick up a program, look at the weight of his opponent and predetermine what kind of night CC will have. Hawks had twigs, so CC feasted. Nice all around game. Buckets, boards and dimes. Hinson: 2nd best game. Really caught fire in the 3rd. Still a one trick pony but nice to see he wasn't a one game wonder. Kuhse: welcome back. We missed you. Let's take a minute to talk about his 3 ball. Such an odd release. He leans/floats forward at a very strange angle. It works for him so... do you.
