pretty candid overall, but this part where he names a bunch of names was really interesting. i don't think phx will take him in the first round, but they might move into the second and offer him a deal. i'm guessing we've already pledged the 55 and a guaranteed contract and also said that we'd try to move up--within reason. my main concern is that we don't move up to get him and lebron pouts.
Yeah, much more public about this than I expected. I'm sure we've told Bron, Bronny, and Paul if they can, they will. From what the national guys are saying, it doesn't seem like teams are willing to f*** with Klutch and the Lakers to play keep away (maybe Philly though). Also while Paul is right, teams can take him without working him out but most teams don't do that unless it's someone who unexpectedly drops and that's not the case with Bronny. Also he wants a guaranteed deal, even fewer teams are going to be willing to do that without having him in their building for a face to face.
IMO this is just another way of telling teams don’t draft him and not the reality of the situation.When/if the Lakers draft him I seriously doubt he’s getting a guaranteed .more realistically a two way.Unless he just shows that he’s worthy which seems unlikely at this point
yeah, did you not read paul's direct statements? i'm pretty certain we have a guaranteed contract sitting on the table for him like the ones we gave christie and reaves. doesn't bother me at all. i actually think there's a chance it's a good investment, tbh. and phx might have the same offer and beat us to it, and that's ok. again, just worried lebron won't agree with that last part.

given that paul threw cold water on the phx angle, i don't think it's an ulterior motive. the suns can't get lebron unless they trade with us, and we're not doing beal for lebron. if they're willing to take bronny, it means they think he's worth it. now, why would klutch want phx? a) closer to home/family, b) they've got nobody on that roster. if there's a place he might crack a rotation as a defender/grunt guy, it's phx. and i really think bronny could be a gpII type player, and there's value in that. i don't think he's ready right now (nor does rich paul, apparently), but it could happen quickly because his body is in nba size/condition.

It actually hasn't. No one in basketball and I don't think anyone in sports history has ever taken a $48 million dollar paycut of guaranteed money and that's what he's leaving on the table by taking the minimum.
Malone took a 92% pay cut to ring chase with the Lakers which would be right around what Lebron take if he took the vet min. To not only ring chase but play with his son.Like I said I don’t expect it to happen but I wouldn’t be shocked
