They're not allowed to have PGs I wanted in consecutive drafts. Hell no.

We just drafted a PG, why should we be interested in another one? We have Vincent for 2 more seasons as well.

Cause if we make any trade the heavy odds are we're sending out at least one ball handler -- DLO, AR, JHS, and Gabe all get thrown around in these trade ideas based on varying factors. If it's for another guard, sure that changes things a bit. But if it's for Grant, Kuz, Bridges or someone like that then we're down a guard.

If we keep the pick I'm good with Carter or a big, depending on our trade and FA plans. However, Carter is my favorite prospect near our range regardless of position.

Can seperate without quickness/burst, and has a pull up game. Sounds like Chokeolo.

I'd roll the dice on Edey if he's there at 17.

Yeah. But he’s going to go a few before us. Rob better have a plan for one.

OKC might be willing to swap picks for a price.

Yeah give them a few bucks for gazillion hoarded picks they won’t need in the immediate future lol They should have traded for someone other than Gordon Hayward

What pick ahead of us do they have? This is what I was going on about the other day wondering if we could give up one of last years young guys including Castleton, Max II or JHS, 17 and cash if it got us to where we could get Edey. I see real promise of a second coming of Brook Lopez. Has nice enough stroke for future 3s like he was shown hitting at the combine. 31” vertical and virtual 8’ wingspan.

I can’t see Rob or the team thinking like this though …. it’s pipe.

That would do it I’d think … hasn’t the latest mock got Miami taking him at 15(?). Then again I mentioned earlier I saw another who knows who’s mock that didn’t have him in the 1st 30 spots.

Yeah Miami was the last one I saw. You can't go wrong , with a young guy with that kind of size, and durability IMO. He's huge but he's not a stiff

Here's some footage of Hukporti who that mock has available to us at 55, as we just let the Warriors take Bronny a few picks earlier :D or him even lasting until near the end of the 2nd round.

i think 82games did one years ago with a pretty good stats metric (averaged by pick). iirc, outside the lottery, you're lucky if the guy sticks in the nba past his rookie contract. and the difference between late lotto (after top 10) and the rest of the first round is pretty minimal--in that all of them have a low expected return.

this is why i'm always game for trading top-5 protected picks for current upgrades.
