Yeah I would be down to that. DLo is underrated. He was our 3rd best player. He played better than Reaves. Without him we don't make the play-in. That's not a lot but it proves his impact. But him and Reaves with Rui instead of Vando is exploited in the playoffs.
Melton would have been nice to get the best DLo. It's unfortunate we lost him too. Great get by the Warriors by the way to replace Klay. They may be looking for Dinwiddie to back them up with Podz

We are running out of options. I'm thinking we'll be running it back more and more

I'll bite. Why does it have to say anything about our organization? We know Klay was interested. Woj even hinted it was close last night. His agent's statement indicated it came down to two things; better shot at winning with Dallas and no state income tax in Texas. Neither of those can be interpreted as a FO failure.

Regarding the FO cheapness issue, I am still bothered that caused us to lose the Bald Eagle, but in this case the rumors say we offered more than Dallas. I'll join the complaint chorus when warranted, but why complain about circumstances beyond the FO's control?

Lol..nobody wants Tinkerbell. Who knew? Our 3rd best player

Sigh..we shouldn't have given him a PO. We could have dumped him last season.

if Klay viewed Dall as better option to win, wouldn't that indicate mgmt didn't do enough to show this team are contenders?

TBH I’m not losing much sleep over an aging star who went 0-10 in his last game.

Or Portland..everyone is going to probably ask, for a FRP attached to him.
Orlando didn’t want him at his current salary, they might be interested in a Issac swap tho, that gets some salary off their books next season.

preach. i knew this was coming (even though almost everyone hated the idea anyway!). we tried. it didn't work sometimes that happens.

the only part that annoys me is dallas moved thj's corpse into space and got grimes back, but we can't get a similar deal for dlo? what's that about? i'd like to hear it explained.

now...dennis lindsey just left dallas to join det's front office, so maybe that was just some good ol' backscratchin'.

trades were always the route we were expecting this offseason, especially once dlo opted in.

Demar isn’t my first or even fifth choice but I do tend to agree with this depending on the deal.

if lebron wants to buy us demar derozan, we should let him.

it's a bad fit and derozan could completely fall apart, but at the mid level...meh. that happens to us every year! we're old pros at wasting it on dead guys.

Meh, Irwin is just making stuff up again. What he did was disingenuous saying he actually offered him that contract. That was contingent on getting rid of D'Lo, which know sounds like it ain't happening

Putting myself into Klay's shoes: next three years with the Mav's just coming into Luka's prime, or the Lakers as LeBron finishes his career? Plus, the state tax thing, and I would make the same choice he did.

They couldn't offer him the contract officially, if Golden State turned a S&T down. Even though they said they were willing to do one, taking C'lo was a bridge too far.

Yeah, if DeRozan will take the NTPMLE and Bron will make that happen go for it I guess. It's a weird fit, but its not the Russ situation over again because DeRozan is better than Russ. Part of the issue with Russ was that his skillset didn't mesh with LeBron and AD, but another part of it was that Russ just wasn't that good anymore.

Yeah Irwin said 4 years $80M. Notice Haynes says, "around 3-4 years" and "around $20M" per year. And if you watch, he didn't look like he had much confidence in an actual number. Doesn't sound like reporters know all the facts yet.

And as you pointed out regarding DLo, Haynes says the Warriors declined. So it's possible LA was his top choice, but the Warriors weren't going to play ball and allow that to happen. Won't stop the narrative though.

What's the weird fit? Derozan is still doing, what Lebron used to be able to do, Murder folks in the mid range.
