Actually I think I’m with you due to the other options out there not being as complementary skill wise and only if the Bulls give us a pick swap or better

    What are we hoping for?

    DLo/Rui/Reddish/Hayes/Wood/JHS for Lavine/Vucevic and a 1st round pick?

    Derozen for the MLE?

Bulls should give us two FRP for taking his terrible contact! We are also banking him to be healthy and with our training staff...This just smells like John Wall, Bradley Beal, Blake Griffin 2.0. The Bulls improved when they benched him!

Too bad the NBA isn't like MLB where you can eat money to trade a player.

Warriors don’t want money back. So first we would have had to dump DLo and likely include some draft compensation, to then turn around and have the Warriors likely ask for more draft compensation as a cost of doing business.

Probably would have been DLo + multiple 2nds (maybe a 1st?) to get Klay, which would have been terrible asset management for a regressing big name.

I’ll wait for legit reporting to come out, but it wouldn’t surprise me if the FO explored Klay to a limit, but knew when it was time to cut out. The Irwin’s of the world will never acknowledge that possibility.

Can’t wait for the next bogus thing he hears only to then pin it all on Rob when it doesn’t happen.

if the sentiment is True, you think Jeanie will wake up and do something or will everything stay the same?

because there has to be a CAUSE to Hurley saying no and Klay and SO MANY OTHER PEOPLE OVER THE LAST 20 YEARS saying No.

    THERE HAS TO BE

Nah buddy..I have a little time today, soo let's peruse that litte essay you just posted.

    1. 1-8 is exactly how our last two playoff series went. That's a fact, yes..if Tinkerbell doesn't choke..we should have beaten Mia, but he did. Moving to this season, Denver didn't get past the 2nd rd, so what, if they were defending Champs? It's the West, I keep pointing out the GS thing with KD. We can't move forward thinking, hey we just need to beat Denver.

    2. Speaking of which, how do you know Grant, doesn't get us by the Nuggets? Swap Grant for Rui/Vando (who didn't even play) and you have more versatility in your lineup. You can put Grant on Murray for one, that length also helps your rotations, elsewhere on D too. He shoots 40% with volume from 3, That's a Rui/Vando all rolled into 1 player. That's also just entering his prime. Denver had Grant guarding Kcp, Kuz, Lebron, and AD at times, in the bubble, he has the defensive chops IMO, that was his coming out party in the League.

3.2031? Hell..AD will be 38 too, and probably making damn near 100M by then. Giannis is at 80 in two seasons. 7 years man? Seriously? Who is really planning their roster out 7 years from now? That's just an irrelevant, throw away comment Pika.

    4. We don't need to go into every offseason, thinking, that we need all these future picks to trade, we can keep those picks and develop our own players, I thought that was part of the plan too.

    5. Anthony Davis was all NBA in New Orleans, and only made the playoffs twice. I'm not getting the playing on bad teams take, how is that Grant's fault specifically? What I do know, is that he was able to avg 20pts a game, as a 1st or 2nd option. And playing here, I don't have any idea why he wouldn't excell as a 3rd. The defensive attention shown him, definitely wouldn't be the same.

    5. White is the 4th or 5th option on the C Bags, as a PG, there simply isn't any comparison with the roles dude. That is the definition of a reach. He's about to get 3OM as a 4/5 option! Grant's contract is far from "bad".

    6. Demar is a scorer, a proven playoffs scorer, on a 12M deal, that's also a great value. Spacing..Bah..you can provide "spacing" in a lot of different ways. A legit lob threat, provides spacing too, that's why Capela makes sense for Tinkerbell.

Lebron and Grant both shot 40% from deep last season, Austin can shoot the deep ball, I don't think we need 6 guys shooting in the 40%:from 3 to be successful, hell we just had 4!

    7. In order to win in the playoffs, you gotta play some defense, but you also have to be able to score against a good defense. The scoring part, is what's went left in our last two playoff series, because defense wasn't our strong suit in either season. However..

Having a rim protector at 5, allows AD and Grant, to get out more on the wings, it helps contain guard penatration on switches, it provides a higher level of shot contests, on the wing perimeter 3's too.

Back to Derozan, now you have a high end bucket getter coming off the bench. Another guy that's he shown the ability to score as a 1st or 2nd option. How many 2nd units have a guy like that? Mid range buckets count too, Derozan is shooting 50% from the floor, avg around 23pts for the last 5 seasons. That a friggin steal at the MLE!

    8. JJ was hired to coach the team period, Austin, Tinkerbell, Rui and Jarred aren't two way players either. They are specialists, Jarred is the only defensive one out of that bunch, but his offense leads to him getting played off the court at times. If Redick is this high IQ, basketball genius, he's reported to be, I think he can figure out how to get up shots, while playing some better D.

Grant, Derozan and a big..Capela or Lopez..That's a Championship caliber team IMO. A lot better than running this BS we are presently doing back. That's my opinion.
