Klay has had so many injury concerns. I was fine with doing the $12,9 million and sending nothing out, but I'm definitely not going more than 2 years on the duration of any deal. He's 34 or 35. 4 years doesn't make sense if that's true.

If that's the case, let Dallas have him and move on...

Yeah, I'm not doing that. I'd be fine with a 2-year deal. I'm not going above and beyond that; if this is his last contract in the NBA, go get the bag, but don't do it here.

This is why it would have been better if DLO walked. Now they have to dump salary but if no team is willing to help out the Lakers they are screwed. As soon as they strike out because of the CBA and Lebron takes his max they will be right up against the second apron

Yeah, I think Rob is going to be trying to shed salary. We're at 15 with the roster if LBJ signs, right? I just hate wasting assets for a 34 year old who has had multiple surgeries and in his mid 30's. Sigh.

Same for me. It would be unwise to sign him for more than two seasons.

Well then... screw Klay. He doesn't move the needle in terms of contending for a ship, so signing him would only stiffle development of Knecht, Christie and even, possibly, AR.

No logical reason to do so and if it drives Bron away, all the better.

I'd actually love Klay here in the short term meaning 2/3 years max, but 4 years/70 is a mistake we should let someone else make.

Grower, not a shower. When it’s super cold, I can barely find it tbh. Hand me the tweezers!

We are 1-8 in our last two playoff series, we aren't running that s*** back. I don't like Klay, really at more than the MLE, but getting him and Looney, for Tinkerbell and Hayes or something, that wouldn't hurt my feelings either.

I assume that we have bigger prey in sight, for trade tho, it's only day 1.

Get his contract to match Bron’s so the pain ends at the same time

Bigger prey? You gonna catch a deer with rabbits? That’s what Peldinkus is and Lebron.

You better hope they run it back because the alternative is do nothings and a washed up Klay. Even Chris Paul decided to guarantee he will never win a title in San Antonio instead of playing for the Lakers.

This isn’t unreasonable, but something like this has to get done. You can’t have Redick coming in hot saying he’s here to win a championship, then have LeBron offer to take a pretty large pay cut and then not get at least one big move done. I’m not upset at all with any of the names being signed today not ending up with us, but from here on out we have to do something. If Rob can’t get it done this time with 2 firsts, multiple seconds, decent expiring salary at his disposal, I’m sorry, but you will have to start asking questions about him being able to get the job done. That’s IF he doesn’t get this done, still plenty of time to make moves.
