Yeah, would not be too excited about DJJ for the MLE. I’d be wary of signing a “3&D” roleplayer who only just recently developed the “3” part of his game during a contract year

Seems like it’s Klay or bust for the MLE, and that’s likely going to be a bust because Dallas will outbid us on the MLE

I would have been on board with a S&T of DLo for Klay if we still used the MLE on someone else, but not sure who else out there would make sense as a MLE target.

And if we’re not taking advantage of the MLE as well, the scenario of our only big move being a S&T sending out DLo for Klay would be a downgrade IMO

Might be time to try to dump a few of Reddish, Hayes, Wood, JHS to clear up some roster spots. Re-sign Prince with non bird rights, re-sign Dinwiddie with TPMLE, have Lebron take a small paycut if necessary to fit that into the second apron, and then patiently play the trade market

It’s plausible that the two scenarios in front of us are pretty much “run it back + explore trades” or “run it back + Klay + explore trades”

 

Really interested to see Rob’s plan, or lack of, in terms of roster building. I don’t see Klay signing with us so I wonder where we are going to turn to at that point.

The Reddit guy is saying Dallas is offering Klay 4/70. If that's the case, what he said earlier might have some validity for trying to salary dump Russell or other player(s). That's 17.5 million a year.

I have to see how this plays out. It's interesting. If we fail with recruiting Klay, I'm interested to see how we pivot.
