don't want to circle arguments, but not getting Kyrie when he was set to come to the Lakers when leaving Brooklyn, was probably as big of a mistake as the Westbrook trade, another colossal mistake, if all it took was Reaves and/or Max.

the guy is showing again he may not have the personality to be the #1 guy, but is probably the best #2 option in basketball.

Based on who he was in Brooklyn, it was too big of a gamble. He's not that guy at the moment, that's the difference. Basketball wasn't #1 priority for that Kyrie. I wouldn't have been surprised if that Kyrie retired after game 12 to chase a YouTube rabbit hole. He was a part time player, expecting full time benefits.

Passing on that guy wasn't a mistake. Passing on this guy, definitely. But he wasn't this guy when he was reportedly (debatable) gettable

29 teams thought Kyrie wasn't worth the gamble at that time. The team who did are in the finals. That says it all really.

we wouldn't have had the assets to trade for this Kyrie or any player of this caliber. We still don't. You take a gamble on that guy because Lebron's leadership would have been enough to set him straight. If it didn't happen the potential reward (another championship) was worth the risk.

Neither Kat nor Gobert have had much impact on this series. Naz has been the best of the 3 Minnesota bigs.

Kat has played soft no doubt.

Towns has shown himself to be another highly overrated playoff choker. Gobert I don't know what people were expecting, he was benched in Utah for being unplayable in the playoffs. This team is not going to win anything any time soon unless Edwards really turns into MJ 2.0.

Luka sure pounds the ball a lot back to the basket out by the half court line making Kyrie stand around, and people complain about LeBron who goes into his version of that at least near the circle and less often. Not saying he’s not great.

He does, but he still gets others involved as soon as he sees mismatches. It’s kind of ugly basketball, but hard to argue with results. Once Luke is 35 though…

I’m sorry, but if you get benched in the playoffs because the other team is switch hunting you, you are NOT THE DPOY.
    Utter nonsense.

They were never going to trade him to the Lakers in good faith.

    KAT thinks he’s Curry.
Dude should have developed a post game- what a waste of a huge 7ft frame.

the dude is shooting 27% FG, 21% from 3 in this series. Against a team that who's front court is a bunch of scrubs. Says it all really.

Well, Dallas has been playing like a top seed (26-5?) since getting Gafford and PJ Washington. They have been big keys for them in the playoffs. I mean, we could've been in Dallas shoes if we got 2 of those type of players at the deadline (and drafted Lively instead of JHS)...With the way that the NBA is more equal now, getting such upgrades could rocket a team.

I think Minnesota suffers from what we have (vs. the Nuggets) and teams like the C Bags a few years ago, which is poor execution in the clutch.

Their offense seems not to run very well at the end and they lack playmakers to give them different looks. Hence, a lot of dumb plays (Ant TO in Game 2, that KAT 3 at the end). Defensively, they are going to try to lock up close shots (which has worked so far), but when playing iso-gods like Kyrie and Luka (who can make tough contested shots away from the basket) that advantage is going to be erased.

When you look at which states are rated highest for catastrophic events, guess which one?? California is rated the worst. Mostly due to forest fires, floods and landslides, followed by earthquakes etc. There is no doubt that California has the best weather in the country. #2 might as well be #20 because it ain't close to California but if you can get through the hotter, more humid summers, lots of areas offer really great weather the rest of the year. I mean, you are paying a heck of a lot for that weather and that requires you to work a ton, which means you are missing most of the year that utilizes that weather. When we sell our condo in La Jolla, we will be able to buy a totally incredible house in the areas we are considering. We will likely hold back a bit simply because we don't really want or need 3000+ sqft. We sort of figure we only want 1800-2000 sqft and we will do great, trading out. We have traveled a fair amount around the USA. The one thing I do not like is cold winters, which keeps me out of the north, don't want to live in tornado alley or right on the ocean of the east coast but there are lots of areas that I like.

Yes all those happen in the state. Guess I'm speaking for myself where we live, nice neighborhood, on upslope to foothills but in no risk area for fires, floods or mudslides with our particular geography.
