    annual rate is what i thought max would get, but not the length. i figured both sides would want a shorter deal?

    Hmm, so I think this means the ~$20M paycut Lebron would need to take to open up the MLE did NOT account for Christie, so now he would need to take an even larger paycut for the MLE (assuming we don’t clear salary by dumping other players)

    Wonder if that means some salary relief moves are imminent, or if we already know we’re out on the MLE targets.

    maybe i have it wrong, but even the hard cap doesn't apply to your own FAs, right? so if max is the last one signed, his salary may not matter?

    signing to trade a la bogdanovic in det. always ends great for everyone!

    Do they lose the MLE. Dream scenario would be adding Lavine and using MLE for Harris.

    This is a very high reward risk play. Lakers would be terrifying if healthy but also high chance to flame out considering AD and Lavine injury history and Lebron age. But man if you can keep AR as the 4th guy and you can get decent defensive PG (some mix of gane, Spencer, other). That would be a difficult lineup for just about any team to matchup with.
