Yes, but there's only a handful of bigs available who can shoot and play next to AD. Fewer play any sort of D. Case of beggars can't be choosers

I like Brook but he is 36 and due 23 million next year. I think this would be a mistake

    yes, but:

he's the perfect fit for a non-shooting pf like giannis, too. he won a title there. and they're willing to trade him for...rui and gabe? just seems to me they might know something about his 36 year old body. i'm worried about valanciunas's age, and he's only 32.

I would prefer if we give Christian Wood another chance under this coach before moving on to the next shiny thing, especially when talking about guys who are not that much better like Brook or Vucevic, and don't play any D either.

if we get another big he should have a different profile.

Okay, in all seriousness…explain to me how Klay DOESN’T help us but KCP AND PG-13 helps Philly?

    Like, am I in Earth-2?

I’m not saying JUST Klay like others have also stated but AT LEAST he knows how to win in the Finals and hits big threes and he could take pressure off AD and LeBron. So how is this worse for us but if Philly signs an OLD PG and KCP, they are dramatically better?

Wood is a 3rd string - barely an NBA player. If next season doesn't work, he's out of the league.

Those guys are starting caliber big men.

Exactly. Brook would be a luxury at this point.

if you compare Vucevic's numbers with Wood's numbers when he was a starter, they are not that far off.

Every stop it hasn't worked and there's been an excuse for it. Repeat coincidences don't exist. Also we need real size, Wood is a PF. Joker bumps him in the post and Wood is sent into the cheap seats

Ahhh, if Klay is working with the Warriors on a sign and trade Dallas probably does beat us out. I feel like we’d probably offer DLo at most and I doubt the Warriors want to do that again. Green and/or Kleber would be pretty decent gets for the Warriors tbh.

He should stick it to the Warriors, take less money and join us. Right? :)

I had been very unclear on if the Lebron paycut projections to open up the MLE accounted for retaining Christie, so I’m glad that we got this out of the way

He’s still a pretty raw player, but I have a lot of faith in his potential. If he actually gets the chance to play and develop, this could be seen as a VERY good value deal in a year

I mentioned in my post here that I also sent on to the Lakers web site honking Edey for us to draft, that he was in a recent commercial with Robin with a sleeveless jersey and didn't look strong at all in his upper body now. Of course it's the off season. Get that crazy MOFO Stewart from Detroit! Been missing that since Randle left.

Plus, hard to imagine as it might be he's even at least applying for the "club".

Great to see Max locked up. He’s a huge X-factor for next season. If he can be a legit 3&D, 20+ minutes per night guy that solves so many issues for this team. But that’s a lot to ask of a 21 year old.
