I knew that the outcome of that review was going to determine the game. Shame that they are not able to call a foul on a review of the play. That seems asinine to me.

Both teams got away, with a lot of fouling in that game. Minnesota did attempted 32 foul shots to Dallas 22.

That is indeed a stupid effing rule. It's almost a glaring loophole, and if Irving knew this, it was devious yet brilliant. It had a lot to do with them pulling out the win.
Stan Van Gundy called it out on the broadcast: gotta change this rule in the offseason.

indy could've easily been up 2-1 in the series if it weren't for two incredible late game chokes

Availability is key . Both Tatum and Brown have not missed a single playoffs game in their latest 3 postseason runs which represent 57 games and counting.

    I'll give them that .

luck is also key: how many playoff games has horford missed? guy's 37 and their only reliable frontcourt player.

    Morey doing Morey things

Bron ain't coming. I have doubts OG is leaving. Maybe they can have a second stint of Jimmy. I'm not sure BI can play nice with others. Not sure if the NO problem is a Zion problem, BI problem, coaching or a combination. Regardless, I don't think he fits as a #3 option. I hope they do land their #1 target PG1.3 though. Love to see the Clipps cut at the knees

    He played 56 of these 57 games ! ( and 46 out of 46 from 17 to 19 with Foston too) .

Luck in the sense they avoid an in game injury ? Probably but man these guys stay available like no others

PS : This is the upside of not attacking the rim enough and being mainly jumpshooters too I guess ..

lol, yes, morey revving up his media machine again. lebron's not going there, imo.

btw, if he does, i've already outlined how i think that's not the worst thing in the world for us.

the clips are playing some weird games, imo. i mean, obviously PG isn't worth a max extension, but...you're in the bird rights trap, and you already signed leonard. they could let harden AND PG walk and still have negligible cap space (otoh, if lebron and dlo walk, we have legit cap room to do things). i think they'll re-sign PG near the max, and i don't see why they're playing at anything else, tbh.

as for the other names--why would miami or NO just dump butler or BI into the sixers' space? the sixers don't have anything anyone wants other than maxey or embiid. i suppose miami could use the huge TE to take in mitchell for just picks or something? not sure if philly wants to take butler and facilitate such a thing, though.

NO needs to trade talent for talent in the BI situation, imo.

no, i don't view tatum and brown as pure luck. those are young guys with little injury history. you count on them to be available and it's bad luck if they get hurt.

if horford doesn't get hurt, it's good luck. he's old and plays pretty tough minutes, imo. you should expect repetitive stress injuries for him like lebron gets, imo. but he just...doesn't get hurt. to me, it was a foolish gamble to put all their eggs in the horford basket as a post presence defensively, but it hasn't burned them yet, so the joke's on me.

put it this way: if we went out and spent the full mle on horford to start at center, and then he went down 5 games in, the "fire rob" crowd would be on fire, claiming it was clearly a foreseeable outcome.

I don't get what they're doing with PG or Lue. Ballmer needs them for the Toilet Bowl much more than they need the Clippers. They have temporary leverage with Lue, but why play that card? Just pay him and ride it out with your three stars. This is not the time to play chicken with either of them.

you're souring the relationship. how does ballmer not see this? lue's still mad at us for not giving him an extra year in our offer. how's he going to feel about dragging out extension negotiations when everyone claims he's the best coach in the league not named spoelstra?

I think that's the majority opinion that Murray is a hotter commodity than Trae.

The problem with both Trae and Ingram is that their games call for them to hog the ball and be an #1 option, and they're just not good enough to be a #1 guy on a contender.

Latest from Stein on CP3. Including a new potentially interested party: Clipps

    And Stein's latest on Mitchell

Towns sucks so much, whiny, always plays for the foul to the point of missing shots he might otherwise make, can’t make a 3 to save his life. The right team is going to the Finals to face Boston after 1 more win, and I’ll be rooting like hell for Luka and Kyrie. Just hope Lively is not concussed, he took a hard knee to the back of the head and never came back.
